If that's what John James is doing then it is wrong but you are only assuming that he is. I mean why do you think he doesn't fancy her? He's spent practically all his time with her in there, he got really upset when they fell out (which looked pretty genuine to me), all the evidence is there to support the fact that he does actually fancy her.

Yes he was upset coz he loves but he is not in love with her he does not fancy, josie is/was like a sister to him and I remember last week he said he'd never looked at her that way but now he is saying I've always fancied you, it doesn't add up, he is playing a clever game and it seems to be working but he hasn't got me fooled

I'm sure his goal isn't to fool you anyway so that's ok! Peoples feelings can change though, it's happened to me before, you like some one as a person but the thought of romance doesn't enter your head until the other person expresses feelings and then you do start thinking about it.

You can love someone and not be in love, but that doesn't mean you can't fall in love with them over a period of time.

When we date, we experience different emotions, it is possible not to see the signs when they are.

Anyway nothing wrong in having a gameplan IMO as long as it doesn't involve hurting or using other people.

How is that bad? Leading Josie on is nothing to do with a gameplan. If he was going to feign a romance why wouldn't he do it with someone who will obviously sell magazines, someone like Rachael. Josie isn't quite 'Nuts' material whereas Rachael is, to be playing the game in that way you'd have a showmance with the prettiest girl!
I reckon its quite genuine and common for him to be fancied by girls, but he said himself that he 'changes his mobile a lot because girls he's met at clubs keep ringing him'. He isn't aware that he's leading these girls on, and usually runs away from one girl and goes to the next. In a house like this he can't run away. Josie is the girl that keeps 'ringing' him after a great night of cuddling and chatting. He can't 'change his mobile' in there. That's why he tried to escape yesterday.
Interestingly he said "I can't do it to her." THAT was probably the gameplan side coming out. Suddenly he seems caring and naive! "Poor John! He doesnt want to hurt her!! Aww!" is the desired effect, it's working a treat!
What he really wants to do is run.
I find that side of him a horrible trait, to lead girls on is nothing to do with a big brother gameplan - its something he's always done.
I hope he STAYS on friday just so he has to deal with himself for another week.

Josie is his safe ride to the final, (pick on average girl, reel her in, ignore the goodlooking ones, public will think you're not shallow, coast to the final blah blah blah), and so many people have fallen for it. you may right but it's a very cynical view of it imo. I personally think that yeah he does seem to be a bit emotionally damaged, I wouldn't go so far as to say mental issues but so is Josie and I think they compliment eachother and I've said that from the start, they're both on opposite extremes to eachother and I think they could help eachother be better people if they met in the middle.

From what I can gather, he could be genuine. Josie is his best mate and if she went, I believe he would walk.

I really don't think he is using Josie, but as said above, I can't be sure.

No one can be truly sure how the mind of a housemate works. You can only go on what you see, and one person's perception isn't the same as another person.

But having a gameplan comes with such a bad reputation and smart housemates KNOW that to have a gamplan means you'll be hated = not win.
I doubt the real clever ones actually admit to it, when they know how negatively it comes across. A good gameplan has got to be undetectable, but now everyone is accused of it and so its impossible to do that. Neither Victor or Rex won, partly because I believe they were so vocal about having a gameplan. I loved them for playing the game, but I wish they'd done it in a more subtle way, then they might just have won.
