i thought thats what everybody did when they got confirmed

No! Confirmation is a Catholic thing. When your 12-15 you can get confirmed into the Catholic church for life. You have to go to classes for it and everything aswell as prove you go to church on a regular basis. Oh ad you have to pick a Saint to confirm under and everything. My best mate is getting confirmed but I feel sorry for her because she's kinda being pushed into it by her family. :/ As for me I cba with it. Oh and I have about a billion problems with the Catholic church..
