You think the Jewish religion is primitive? What, compered to Islam, you mean? And I think you'll find that everyone involved, on both sides, consider the ground sacred.

If you look at why Israel was established you'll probably see that it was done with the best intentions by rather idealistic and blinkered people. Speaking as a Jew who has spent time in Israel and know how dangerous the situation is there, I have to say I'd like to see everyone chill out and try to get on. The Jews need to understand how the Palestinians feel, and the Palestinians have to know how the Jews feel. And the USA should butt our for a change, because a lot of the tension is created by their unquestioning support of the Jews.
