aye, my parents tried the All Girls School palava..... cant recall the name of the place, was in Sevenoaks, and run by The Montagues (I remember my dad pronouncing their name incorrectly and the owner was 'most insulted' !!)... bloody place was full of parquet flooring, 'girls' had to wear clogs to avoid damaging the floor.

I'll give you one guess what my reaction to that was!!

Needless to say I ended up in a nice co-ed school

You were lucky .

I will say though that education wise there is something to be said for single sex, much less distraction. Pastorally there is little to be said for it, although i remember the occasional boy being chased off the school grounds that he'd been encouraged to come onto by some of the girls in the first place!
