Was he sick? One of my dogs will have to be put down in the next few months too I think, she has a massive tumour in her chest

The voice of reason

Yes. He developed a liver problem that could not be cured (Staffy) and gradually went downhill. One month he was a great big strong dog and the next he could barely make it up the stairs. It happens. He had 7 great years - he was a rescue dog so 7 was a bonus I guess.

I'm so very sorry..that sucks. My in laws always had staffie rescues and I know what lovely and loving family pets they are. It leaves such an empty hole..he was ill..but you rescued him and gave him a good life..that's all that dogs ask for
