Given your desire for a free world, I very strongly suspect that she has been remanded on bail until her court case: for one reason - to actually protect HER. Most people here actuallly DO recognise that (whether they agree or not, is a different matter) however I do feel that most on here do recognise the reason for the police arresting and detaining her currently.

If your method of thought is to be considered: she would be free to roam the streets and take her chances with those who may wish to met out their own form of 'dealing with her'. Maybe that's a better idea: and then everyone can just turn a blind eye should that happen, and people take matters into their own hands, another crime is committed.
