Because there's so much utter shi te churned out these days by people who can barely sing let alone create music themselves. I'm not saying everybody should automatically like Coldplay; everybody has different tastes, but I personally have more respect for anybody who can actually make music/write lyrics/whatever over some manufactured pop band.

I'd be able to take this "deep" GaGa on board if she grew up in Hells Kitchen or something, but she went to the same school as Paris Hilton fgs!
