I think women like to think they are more discerning than men and men are only ruled by basic instincts. Thus you get these fake surveys in fake mags like Cosmo saying 70% of women think personality is more important in a partner than looks where as with men its only 20%. Each one of those articles is utter bullsheeet. Women are just as shallow as men its just that men will admit it. Men are simply more honest when it comes to things like that.
