You're wrong Arista, for one very simple reason. Giving a lion too much tranquiliser is the same as shooting them. It kills them. Whenever vets give animals a sedative, it's based on the weight of the animal. Too much is lethal, so in order to give that lion the right amount, would take time to get into their systems.
I agree that killing it was wrong, but once they decided it needed to be stopped, then shooting it was the most humane way. That lion would have guarded that body with it's life till it had been stripped of meat. There is no way that could be allowed to happen.
