How would you know this? Fair enough evaluate her presenting skills but to make these presumptions is a bit uncalled for.

Her career relies on being on TV, so she's going to be on TV. She wouldn't be a TV presenter without it.

In regards to the music, if you want deep musical understanding and knowledge then a Saturday night talent show is not the place to find it. Even Tom Jones struggles to say anything outside of standard talent show cliches.

yes I think she is a very poor presenter. Vastly overpaid (by tax payers)worse than that though she actually ruins the show.

Tom speaks when he needs to and wants to...he knows what hes talking about and he is sincere...he doesn't simply talk for the sake of it

I would like a presenter with a modicum of talent, personality, passion for music and yes at least some knowledge of the subject and even basic communication skills? for Ł28,000 an episode Id want this.

I'd like to know where you'd like her to slip this musical knowledge into the show?

In the middle of reading out the numbers? Just before she requests "judges your comments please" or when the contestant is singing?

Like I said, the presenter's knowledge or lack of knowledge is irrelevant to the job they are doing.

no she doesn't she talks over everyone, her timing is also abysmal....remind me please of anything interesting she has ever said? oh let me guess shes not there to be interesting, or polite, or even grasp the first thing about music, or to listen to allow others time to answer a question....so what is she there for? to read the autocue and talk over everyone?

I 100% disagree with your rather fickle analysis and almost every single reply you've made to this thread...Ł420,000 for a waste of space is a disgrace...strange though how you've managed to have a dig at tom jones, a legend whose had hits round the globe for near 50 years, whose sung his heart out note perfect on every show and always been gracious kind and sincere throughout every episode.... but meanwhile you say nothing of the useless overpaid presenter?

I think you'll find my opinion is just as valid as yours and isn't "fickle" at all, maybe more valid than yours because it doesn't contain blatant sexism (see your bimbo references).

I've already given you my opinion on Holly's pay packet, it's overblown (the same as any other TV/celeb star). But as for her ability to do the job, I think she is adequate enough considering the minimal importance her role holds.

Tom's "note perfect" voice and sincerity has nothing to do with the fact that on this show (I'm not commenting on his career but his appearance on this show) he uses the same old cliches, as do the other judges. Frankly, he's a sellout for going anywhere near this show.

She doesn't have more screentime than anyone at all. She barely there except when introducing people.

I'm not being sensitive, just pointing out that calling her a bimbo due to a few scripted lines she says on camera for a couple of minutes on a Saturday night is a tad uncalled for.

Don't get all pedantic, I don't see "each and every word" and this word has popped up in a conversation I am taking part in so I'll comment on it where I see fit.
