I would think that "I'm not afraid of aggressive men" should be a pretty damning indictment of his actions, it should imply to him that he was being aggressive and his behaviour could be seen as frightening but she didn't want to let herself seem powerless so went on the defensive, there was a lot of tension there but it wasn't sexual. It was evident that she had lost "control" of the situation. She tried a couple of times to bring it back. Some attempts were less than successful. But its important to remember, that up until this point, they as a couple were quite close.

Daley was getting steadily more aggressive. She was holding her own, still playing it down. Right up until he said that he could end her. Because she replied in kind. You could see the confusion in his face. She was standing up to him and he couldnt work out, at that point, what it all meant. So he gained control by the use of his fists.

He forced her into the pillow, and reminded her that he could hurt her, if he wanted too.

BB intervened and she couldnt get out of the bed fast enough.
