I don't know whether Helen has told them about her past, or kept quiet about it - but she takes a strange moral stance on some things given her past.
People make mistakes it is true, people make mistakes in the house too - what's the difference?
Helen isn't fundamentally more honest than anyone else in there as far as I can see although she makes very loud claims about her own honesty and integrity - which is just amusing.

Helen has hinted to Ash about her past she cannot go into detail as there is an injunction on it,seems people forget that,and IF she told the house ,I don't think it would make that much difference infact they might like her even more,she probably wants to put the Rooney thing behind her,it seems its us that don't.
