I've lots of clips to catch up on. I can't watch them on youtube so can only watch the ones that get uploaded to a daily motion channel.

I have some live feed slots to catch up on too, but I have a good source for watching those.

..yeah I really do think this is one of the best lot of CBB housemates we've had for a while, a great mix of ages etc and personalities...Gary does seem to conjure strong feelings in the house and I'm trying to figure out why that is exactly because although he's a big guy physically and maybe sometimes is a bit too outspoken, he seems to me like a really spiritual person and maybe someone they would have all seen as the alpha/protector but it's quite the opposite atm and he's not getting much understanding..I wonder why that is...

I mentioned in another post that I don't think I would like to live with him. It may just solely be that I'm picking up on how the other housemates act around him, but he seems to make housemates uncomfortable and I feel an uneasiness myself when he comes on screen. I can't explain it at all. He weirds me out a bit.

I wouldn't want to listen to constant long yarns about his wise advice/sayings or if he whistled or clicked his fingers at me to listen I would really hate it.
I enjoy listening to people's stories but if I felt that someone was basically speaking at me rather than talking to me, and if I thought they had no interest in what I said about it and were more interested in just having me listen and agree, I would find it irritating.

I could be reading Gary completely wrong but that is just the first impressions I'm getting. I don't think he's a bad person, and probably does have a lot of love and warm feelings for people, but at the same time there is just something in the manner he carries himself and speaks to people that I can kind of understand why he would be seen as annoying.

I will give him a chance though. I have a feeling he is one of those characters that when I get more used to his ways I could start to find him very funny.

..yeah I do understand what you mean about 'speaking at you' but I think he also seems to really listen and absorb as well which maybe for me balances that because especially with celebrities but 'attention' people in general, they often don't listen and don't seem that interested in each other ..maybe only in that if they see an opening in the conversation where they can interject and talk about themselves..?...I think with that particular instance with him and Leslie, it was maybe two things..?..one that Leslie was very tired from his broken sleep the night before and then that Gary has indeed been irritating him on past occasions..so Gary felt he was correcting him..maybe not the most diplomatic and he should have just overlooked doing that, regardless of who was right..?..but it just brought about his past irritations with Gary and feeling generally tetchy from lack of sleep...


..I think the 'annoying' thing would maybe be just because of his understanding and hearing issues...no matter how nice the person, that would annoy you when you had to constantly repeat yourself and when he asks for someone to do that, he does have a tendency to lean closer, so invading someone's personal space which never feels comfortable..?...

He's a big guy and he usually plays the bad guy in movies. Maybe it's why people feel intimidated. But really he's a nice guy. Just a bit odd.

Some good points there Ammi, I hadn't really considered the having to repeat themselves constantly thing annoying the housemates but I can see how it it could be, even if it is nobody's fault really.

I saw a thread somewhere here about Leslie snapping at people keeping him awake but didn't finish reading it. You are probably right that he must have been tetchy and cranky from the lack of sleep anyways.

..yeah and I think when you're tired EVERYTHING can irritate you.....so the person you fine most irritating in the house doesn't really stand a chance......
