Danny Freeman was a man who sang outside marks and sparks in Leeds for charity for as long as I can remember, used to laugh at him as he looked a bit like uncle albert from OFAH.
Feel bad now as he was a dedicated lovely man, he raised thousands over the years and passed away in 2004. There is a plaque to his memory where he sang.

And of course the 'Bradford jesus man' who walks all over west yorkshire in monk garb saying hello to people, some say sime the mid 50s! and he never looks any older :/

there was a punk called Lee who had the most amazing mohican in the 90s
and a mad Jewish woman that sat on the steps in Leeds market in the 80s ripping tenners up, her family would ambush and she screamed blue murder, clean her up and a couple of weeks later she'd be back.
