I think there's a line between happy with how you look and compliment fishing that isn't always so obvious; this guy hashtags all his photos with very specific hashtags to make sure he gets lots of likes and most of his selfies are basically the same photo over and over; couple that with it being on Instagram, meaning you see them regularly, and it becomes irritating. I think if you were happy with how you looked and wanted to be complimented, it's fine to post one every once in a while; but if you're doing it regularly and hashtagging it to the high heavens, it's attention seeking and annoying. Seeking attention in itself isn't annoying; it's just that constantly posting the same selfie over and over is annoying AND attention seeking for the same compliments and not being satisfied with them so doing it again...

I think people who post the most selfies are either deeply unhappy with how they look or are so happy with how they look that they're arrogant about it.
