This story highlights the glaring differences between the UK and Saudi Arabla with respect to religious intelorance and freedom of speech.
Anybody can criticise our political and religious leaders, our form of govt and our religious doctrines. Rightly or wrongly everyone has the right to have their voice heard without fear of violent repercussions from the state. We have seen this before in middle eastern theocracies where anyone who dares to question the status quo can be violently punished and imprisoned for years. But in the west all criticisms are voiced and debated and if they carry any substance then a wider debate can be started. That is the nature of free speech , that is the nature of democracy. Yet in Saudi Arabia people are trapped in the equivalent of a fascist police state where one wrong word or comment can lead to savage consequences. Someone once said what is the time diff between London and Riyadh, I think the answer is about 500 years. .

I did, but you wouldn't leave Livia and wouldn't entertain a 3-some.
