I also think that 12 is too young but in general is quite a good idea.
I think to a certain degree they've already made progress on stuff like this. From 3rd year through to 5th, the less academically minded kids at my school could trade in 1 or 2 of their traditional GCSE's to go and do some vocational qualifications at the local college. |
