That's completely different though, I have said myself many times on here that facebook is handy for keeping in touch with long distance friends and relatives but in reality you wouldn't be out socialising with them anyway if they live in a different country.

Maybe so, but if it weren't for social media, I would socialise with them in person, when I got to whatever country.

I just hate this whole 'Social Media is destroying everything!!!' argument. If it bothers you that much, then don't use it.

(That's not aimed at you, btw. Just social media haters)

You don't have to use it for it to bother you, for example, if you're out for dinner and the people you're with are constantly on their phones. Or for you to have an opinion on how younger people interact with eachother nowadays
