Can I just point out the irony of Hopkin's fans taking offence to a blunt comment made in jest.

Mock that infraction wouldn't have been discussed because it was one of the most clear cut and agreed upon infractions ever given, seriously let it go

Mock can you just shut up and get over it, odds are the infraction has expired by now so I'm not entirely sure why you feel the need to drag it all up now

Theres so many members with different points and infraction reasons that to treat every single rule break for each member the same way would be extremely unfair.

If 2 people are infracted at the same time and one is pushed into a ban then all I can say is that it's entirely their own fault, they must have broken more rules in the past to have high enough points to be pushed into a ban.

The straight ban thing, it can be extremely frustrating if arguing continues when we have already given out infractions to some of the members involved and maybe already posted a warning in the thread, arguing doesn't just affect the members involved it is also unfair on members that just want to reply to the thread topic to have to keep scrolling through drama, so a straight ban is the next thing.
I can understand why you'd do that, but i don't really think it's fair, I have 16 pages of infractions, so a lot of them are going to be for varying offences, does that mean that all my infractions are going to be higher?

I think you need to treat every reported post or potentially infractionable post completely separate to past infracted posts by the member whose potentially being infracted (i hope I'm making sense i feel like I'm just rambling ), that way noone can accuse mods of being bias or kicking up a fuss, because it's all completely fair, whether the infraction is given by someone who dislikes the member, or someone who loves the member

I think if we have a set system where the infraction points are clearer, and posting bans are longer we'd have a lot less infracted posts because people will be off the site for a lot longer

Again, i get why it's frustrating but threatening bans outright is unfair, I honestly just think one warning should be made in bold and if after that it doesn't end just infract every single post that carries it on, sooner or later (if they're banned) they'll get the message

Nooo I think you misunderstood that. Its more a case of...if you had 4/5 infractions for insulting people over the past week, then you insulted someone again, you would get more points as you are obviously ignoring warnings and stuff. Infractions from ages ago don't matter.

You are ruining this thread that was in fact a decent discussion btw before you selfishly wanted to bring up your own infraction from 3 months ago.

I have to disagree with that, I think if a person is constantly doing the same thing and basically ignoring all the warnings and previous infractions for the same thing, you have to start upping their points or instantly banning (which we very rarely do btw)

I know and it's ridiculous that even after the show is over they can't just admit to making a mistake and that they overreacted.

This was only suppose to be quick to get it all sorted, but they won't back down at all.

Yes my other two infractions before that was deserved Josy as they wasn't jokes, but that one was, but by your definition then all posts that get reported should result in an infraction, including the ones that have got reversed.

But how when I explained it at the time? And other members even thinking that you know who was overreacting, trust me I know as I've had PM's about it.

Well i think the best thing to do is to increase the ban time, people aren't too bothered about being banned if it's only for a day, increase it to a week/two/ 30 days and they'll definitely tone it down

If you have a set system people will learn to follow the rules, If someones had a few infractions recently and they're not entirely sure how many points they are away from a ban, sometimes you can just get wound up enough and snap at members, leading to a higher point infraction and thus to a ban, which they wouldn't necessarily have got if they'd have known how many points they were going to get

(am i making sense i honestly just feel like I'm rambling SEE THIS IS WHAT I MEANT IN THE LOUNGE LAST NIGHT WHEN I SAID I WAS ARTICULATE ENOUGH TO PUT MY POINT ACROSS)
