That is true.I was shocked when i picked up the Sun on a train the other day to find no page 3.I don't usually read it so i did'nt even know it had gone.Blokes need something to brighten up their day a little while they're out hard at a manual job.

Yet those same blokes would have a heart attack if they opened up the paper to page 3 and saw a big ol knob placed there to brighten up the day for all the women and gay men that are out working hard at a manual job eh

![]() I agree though it shows a real lack of empathy to not even realise how intimidated she might have felt and nobody should be scared to walk down the road. I dont know why you are suprised by some comments on here though. Last edited by billy123; 28-04-2015 at 02:15 PM. |

Lol, so true, I have to say, every time I go into a serious debates thread, I just find myself wondering where the hell some people's sense of empathy is. It's like people find it impossible to see things from a different perspective.

Wolf-whistle backlash: Police and woman under fire after complaint about builders
West Mercia chiefs were accused of getting their priorities wrong after sending officers to probe Poppy Smart’s claims of sexual harassment. The 23-year-old marketing assistant complained after hearing the “disrespectful” calls as she passed the site in Worcester on her way to work. But Philip Davies, who is seeking re-election as Tory MP for Shipley, West Yorkshire, said: “I would have thought the police have better things to do. “I don’t know how many burglaries there are to investigate in Worcester, but there are probably quite a few. “I’m sure the public would feel safer if police devoted more time to investigating them.” His views were echoed by Worcester residents who used social media to rant about the “waste of money”. ![]() http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/573...whistled-woman |

We do not know why the girl did not just walk another route or we do not know anything from the builders perspective
all we have is her slightly hysterical account |

she should not but we all do things to avoid problems. Why should women not be able to walk around city centres at night?
if it bothers her and she can go a different way then fecking do it ffs I am sure people alter routes all the time to avoid chuggers? |

Poppy Smart, 23, claims her walk to work is also being ruined as she is subjected to "disrespectful" comments, that she likened to racial discrimination.
It is very disrespectful and is comparable to calling out at someone of a different race or religion." 'He was probably 18 or 19 and got right in my face, standing next to an older man. He didn't touch me but they were in my personal space in the pavement, in my way, even though I literally blanked him. It is incredibly intimidating. I'm quite a nervous person and this has made my anxiety worse. 'The whistling went on for a month. I eventually contacted the building company and the police on the same day when it got so bad. I even considered changing my route to work but thought, 'Why should I do that?' ![]() |

lets hope she loses this pathetic case and has to pay the court fees for such a trivial waste of time..the resources to tackle real sexual attacks is finite and is already over stretched..the rescources to tackle all crime are stretched to breaking point, so many serious criminals get away with theft and murder.its women like her who make it harder for the real victims
