I don't think anyone could choose their sexuality. I am not a lesbian, I have a boyfriend etc.. but I am not a "normal" straight person either. I think my life would have been much easier/less confusing if my sexuality worked like everyone else my age. So, I kind of agree with Jack in a way, there is always fluidity, sexuality is just constructed, people are starting to invent names for all of the extra types now, according to tumblr I would be demisexual. But I think it's not that important to label anyone. There isn't just "straight" and then everything else, there are different types of "straight" too. I think I am just rambling at this stage. Basically I think people would love to choose if they could but we can't so discussions like this are kind of pointless, I'm sure the majority of people know that you can't choose.
