I wouldnt worry too much. I know someone who had their cat go missing for 3 months and then turn up like nothing went wrong! My grandads cat went missing for 2 months and then we went to his other farm and found her there. We managed to get her home, luckily!

Even though she's old, Im sure she knows what she's doing. Just keep shouting and maybe go walk around with food and she might come to you!

Good luck!

I don't think that's true, domesticated cats who have had a stable home for years don't suddenly decide to go out to the wild. If anything cats are very territorial and protective of their turf.

They are known to go away to die but I wouldn't get too worried unless they don't appear for longer than 24 hours, they're pretty resilient animals as well

I don't have a cat now Kaz, but did have for years and I can only reiterate what others are saying. One of mine was a right twot for going missing for days on end but she did always come back. Here's hoping that yours does Kaz.

My Cat did this a few years ago, he was missing for nearly a whole week, but we ended up finding him in one of our neighbours Car sleeping in the backseat, so consider checking that out.

Cats tend to sometimes get trapped in Sheds, or someone might've took her in because they might've thought that she was a stray.

And here's a website to do with lost Cat behaviour which you might want to read.

Hi Kaz, i hope your cat's turned up, my neighbours cat went missing for 3 days, she was beside herself, then the naughty little cat just strolled back in as if nothing had happened

My dad had an old cat, he was 17, and one day he just went off and never came back, it still upsets me now when i think about it, his name was Smudge, i really hope your cat comes back soon

Well I have just left the back door open while the dogs were out, this is the time we usually see her,but there is nothing,I am worried as although she ate loads she was very thin ,I don't think she could take not eating for long, but I'll be off to work soon,so fingers crossed by the time I get back at dinnertime she'll be home,I will leave her some food out in the hope she will want it.

Well have lost my beloved Sally,I came home dinnertime and I saw her in the back garden,I was so excited,I picked her up and put her on a blanket in the house as she didn't look well,I took her to the vets at 2pm and had her put to sleep, vet said she was very dehydrated her eyes were sunken, she had an over active thyroid hence her eating like a pig but staying skinny, they were also concerned about her kidneys,I could have had her put on a drip overnight to rehydrate her,but there was no guarantee she would get better due to her old age, I was pondering on having her treated, but would it be fair to the old girl ? I didn't think so,so she is now at peace,we miss her terribly .I've cried buckets but hope I did the right thing for her,the vet said she had probably gone missing as she was close to passing anyway,I was just pleased she came to see me before she went and I can now lay her to rest knowing where she is and knowing I was there Thanks for all your helpful words, just thought you'de like to know.

Aw....as you say at lest you know. I'm so sorry Kaz., losing a pet is so heartbreaking and now you've lost two quite close together. Cats a very intuitive though and she probably knew she didn't have long so had one last adventure and then came home to you. Lots of love coming your way

omg oh no I'm so sorry to hear that. I really didn't think she would be poorly, but I think an owner knows when something isnt right. R.I.P.

It's crazy how much a pet, even just a little cat can change our lives. It's sometimes just as hard losing a pet as it is a real life family member. So sorry for your loss, Hope you're okay
