I realise that some people can find these things insulting, but then, I don't consider the risk of causing personal offense to be a barrier to having (any) conversation or debate. It registers a flat zero on the TS scale of important stuff. I'd be VERY surprised if you're losing any sleep over it Livia, or being genuinely harmed in any way more than a very mild and quickly disregarded sting, so it's a bit of a non-issue really. Such claims of "taking offense" usually feel, to me, like a way to dishonestly shut down the discussion... which just isn't kosher ( ... )
