Sorry, i don't want to put a dampener on your holiday or anything, you just have to be careful there I think. On the plus side the beaches are fab and the sea was the warmest I've come across

My husband was approached several times in bars by proper skanky looking prostitutes, while I was sitting next to him! And the bottles of spirits behind the bar were for show only, we got local vodka and "fruit cola". And the coach driver taking us on a day trip to Sofia stopped to talk to him mate who had tied a dead deer to a tree and was skinning it, he looked like he'd murdered a whole family, blood everywhere... There was a half-buried enging block sticking out of the snow on the beginners piste... which also had a road running through it. It was grim...

When we got to our hotel, they asked if we wanted to pay extra for air conditioning so we said yeah and the guy at reception pulled a fan out from under the desk and handed it to us

Also our bed sheet had a massive hole right in the middle of it, all of the sheets did, so weird, i still haven't figured out what that was about

Also, you had to pay to go to the toilet everywhere, bars, restaurants everywhere and they would not let you in unless you did

Oh.... little old ladies sitting outside toilets selling you a bit of toilet paper. I remember that. And every pillow we encountered was made by the State Concrete Company.

They weren't even selling the toilet paper, you couldn't go in at all unless you paid, they were little old ladies with big burly Bulgarians/Russians around the corner for anyone who tried to go in without paying

I hate the fact you have to do this some places in London and Liverpool, I always wait until I get back to the hotel or something. I refuse to pay 20p for the toilet and I refuse to pay 5p for a bag.

I'd get over it if it was a public toilet but it's illegal here to charge people to use the toilet if you're serving food/drink
