I've forgiven a one night stand before and even though it still ended up not working out I'm glad I did and probably would again in the future depending on the circumstances. I wouldn't forgive an affair though.

The honest answer is I don't really know.

It would be hard because I am so against cheating and all about loyalty and honesty so it'd be difficult for me to completely trust the person again (depending on circumstances obviously and the extent of the 'cheating'), but also if I was in a relationship I'd be very attached to them and would want to forgive them more than anything. I'm a believer in second chances too, so the answer is probably.

Humans needs to stop pretending theyre monogomous tbh. They're not. No mammals are. We've developed this weird trait because of social constructs and culture and its completely against are natural instincts.

...saying that, those who want to have a monogomous relationship should always dump those who do not.

My ex cheated on me on holiday, his friends girlfriend found out and told me and we askes the girl in question. She had no idea he had a girlfriend but even if she had I would not blame her.

Anyway I dumped him straight away.

Even if I did forgive them, I'd never be able to forget what they did. And I don't think I'd want to stay with someone if all I saw in them was deceit.

So to answer your question, yes, I could forgive them. But I wouldn't take them back.

..it's not really a question that can be answered in a general way...but to answer it in a general way.....I would say yes, I'm not someone who hold onto stuff, that's far too self destructive and self damaging..but obviously it depends on, depends on, depends on etc...forgiveness what have to be just exactly that though, it couldn't leave mistrust otherwise it's not really complete forgiveness for me....
