I would definitely take Livia's (and Cherie's) advice and link above and file a complaint in the small claims court. You could also speak to your local citizen's advice as sometimes they have some good helpful suggestions, like writing a letter with your claim to her and how to word it, or getting a solicitor to write a letter for you. This can be enough to get someone to settle so you don't have to go all the way in the court.
