You may not like to do this, but call the police on her.
a) It will teach her that there are consequences for nicking someone else's property
b) If you are insured and report it as theft you can claim insurance, assuming you don't get your stuff back.
c) Tell everyone via social media. That way some other poor sap won't get his stuff nicked.
I hope you get your stuff back, or at least have someone you can go to for Christmas?

Hey Truth, first of all I'm very sorry to hear about your misfortune. It's hurtful when romance doesn't work out and it must be doubly hurtful that she would abuse your trust by stealing from you as well.

I would definitely take Livia's (and Cherie's) advice and link above and file a complaint in the small claims court. You could also speak to your local citizen's advice as sometimes they have some good helpful suggestions, like writing a letter with your claim to her and how to word it, or getting a solicitor to write a letter for you. This can be enough to get someone to settle so you don't have to go all the way in the court. Jenni also gives good advice re reporting to the police to get a crime number so you can make an insurance claim. If you have house contents insurance.

I hope your next relationship is much more in line with what you deserve and I hope this hurtful experience doesn't put you off looking for love. I think there is someone special out there, but as my granny used to say sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs first.

Whatever you do don't let her back into to your home/life. If someone proves untrustworthy once it's pretty likely it's a behaviour pattern.
