I guess I can see why Tom was initially against him judging purely on his VT, but I noticed Raph make an effort to get up and shake his hand when he entered, hopefully they can have a conversation and get to know each other before he makes a decision.

As far as I'm aware, Tom will just be choosing which 'sides' the housemates are on, so there's a good chance he will be up for eviction with a bunch of others anyway (if there are no twists or anything).

He seems to be liked well enough on FB so far. It might work in his favour if Tom tries to turn people against him, the public don't like that

Yeah true, something tells me Tom (or any of the possibilities who could have won the people's housemate) won't be popular with the public by the end of it because they will have 'power' and it usually never ends well.
