Previously banned members have been allowed to return and haven’t changed, clearly there’s no “probation period” because of there was most of them would have failed.

I’m sure mods do discuss letting members back onto the site, but at the same time, once said members are back, the probability of them being repermabanned is slim to none

It is discussed, all mods may not agree all the time but we go with the majority opinion.

Not really there are members I don't like very much but still wouldn't support perms banning them

It's been this way for years but, yes, 2017 was particularly bad for the victimisation.

Id love to see the majority opinion on keeping a member previously permabanned, then banned again for a further 6 months before being allowed to return

Or the majority opinion on keeping around a bigoted misogynist on the forum for years, despite numerous people being offended

OR the majority opinion on keeping any member around in general who quite clearly hasn’t changed since their permaban


Like I said, it’s obviously all about the number of members as apposed to the quality of them
