I don’t think anyone on here has defended Cummings on what he did. However these journalists and Activists are not social distancing...no doubt they have come from another town to highlight someone else for breaking the rules...

Why are you trying to twist stuff , I will explain plain and simple as PEOPLE LIKE ME DO, those who flout the rules need to be taken to task,that means ANYONE ,yes even DC, NOT once have I said what he did was ok,but it is now bordering on harassment with the press that is what I find RANK ,its nothing to do with parties , its to do with over the top and hypocritical press. I do not know the full circumstances of what he did and why , as I don't read newspapers. I will wait for the news and briefings. you can keep sniping at me all you want,that is my opinion

If you don’t read the stories, then you clearly don’t have the full story, waiting for the government press briefings is waiting for the one side of the story that you want to hear so you can remain firmly on the side you want to be, the press reporting on a top controversial story is not harassment, it’s them doing their job and letting us know what is actually happening, it’s not their fault the people at the top are assholes and it is blatantly about parties for you, you make that clear every time you come into a thread and say things like ‘ugh, people are just having a go because they don’t like the Tories and their party didn’t win’ people saying things like that, are the only ones making this political, you’re allowed an opinion, as everyone is

Indeed....I'm sure there are.plenty if families who could have done with extra help when they were ill but we were told it was not allowed. I wouldn't have risked any further lives personally had I been ill but people who were really sick possibly would have got better quicker had they been allowed to visit family to look after the kids.

Its a sorry affair but the more the press bray for his blood, the more likely Boris is to dig his heals in plus all this is actually detracting from getting on with dealing with the situation. Cummings should do the decent thing and resign, he won't and all this will be buried by the Gov as soon as they can.
