I've never seen it myself, but it's got very high reviews and is considered one of the greatest films of all time, as well as the greatest courtroom film of all time.

It must be really good if it has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Rotten Tomatoes rarely give a film a perfect rating too.

I'm nutty about old films anyway... old Hollywood stuff, British stuff, war films, Ealing etc., even some of the old silent films. Shame they're not more popular these days. I have teenage nieces who wouldn't contemplate watching a black and white film.

......fabulous, we have a movie club and just need a first movie, now...

...Bollo, Memento is an excellent suggestion but I can’t find it as a free option atm...Amazon Prime has a good selection of classics but they’re ones that are payview...(...that’s crazy...)...and so a no, no really...it’s not how we need to be spending money...

...atm...on Netflix...(..I think..)..there is The Truman Show and American Beauty as options..?..

...on Film 4 (All4)...(...but I don’t know if Niamh can get that network in RoI...)...I think there is choices of Castaway, Trainspotting, Withnail and I and Local Hero...probably more, but it’s all I had time to find so far this morning...I don’t know if any of those would be a good first...?..plus any suggestions would be marvellous but they would have to be on a Network we can all access and NO CHARGE, the cheek of them....

It tells you on Justwatch if a film is free with Amazon Prime. It might be easier to stick with Netflix though.

I watched Memento years ago and I really can't remember anything about it - Ironically I would like a re watch of that if we could get somewhere to watch it

...there is a subtitled version of Memento on YouTube......I’m happy to watch Zodiac, The Green Mile or Zombieland as well...I’m not sure that I’ve seen Zodiac, actually...

I'd add Nightcrawler and Prisoners to that list. Two amazing Jake Gyllenhaal thriller films. Both 10/10.
