I'm sure one of the states launched legal action against this and other stuff Trump did and won? I'm sure I read they got a court order to ban silent protestors being hurt and armed forces being deployed

...the released bodycam footage of George Floyd begging for his life, begging for the police not to shoot him/to kill him...how does a family live with those images every day...this is such a heinous, deliberate taking of life...

To be fair I think there are much, much better ways of tackling the problems in communities with high-crime and a lot more money should be diverted that way over authoritarian policing. However, that needs to happen BEFORE any dramatic scaling back of police resources, rather than leaving a "vacuum" of sorts.

Oh I agree, the "over policing" is a response to the ... over criming?

It might not be the best response, and should be replaced by something else, for sure. But as you say, replaced, not just tossed out.

Well it is false, or at least the version they propagandise is. Better forms of restraint should be taught, so another person doesn't accidently choke to death like Floyd, and more scrupulous vetting should be employed, so there's not another sitch like that woman who was shot in her sleep. But overall? Nah.

We had the same problem in South Africa..even Steve Biko "Accidenly" fell from a car.

amazing how many blacks fell from cars "accidently" of course
