actually the native americans do have very asian features. it's clear that they came from the asian continent. The round faces and asian eyes are very clear.

I didn't make it up, I think it's based on facial features. The aboriginees are a seperate category as far as I know but I could be wrong.

that's true. for instance, when American's say "asian" it means something different when british say "asian"

when brit's say asian i notice they mean south asia usually like indian and pakistani. When American's say asian, we always mean like japanese or chinese. Most american's don't even realize that india and pakistan is part of asia i think. we consider them middle eastern or "arab".

I don't know any Americans that would ever call a pakistani person "asian". we'd just call them arab or muslim.

Indian or Pakistani would be the first thing that pops into my head when I hear the word Asian, If you said oriental I would think of Chinese or Japanese people, eventhough I know they're all from Asia

I don't go around calling people Oriental but I would associate it with that part of the world in general more than Asian
