Deaf people do lean forward to catch what you are saying.

Dee adopted the aggressive posture in response to what she thought was aggression by Gary.

The rest of them are totally despicable towards him. Audley is the only one where the penny has finally dropped. He's an ageing , deaf, poorly gentlemen, who is set in his ways.

Gary was wrong in the kitchen, when he was rude to her and then said something about wanting a fight. (if I heard that right?) But in the garden Dee was awful, sitting there with that sly look and getting into his face. Then telling him she wasn't his carer!!! And Gary goes 'You never were' and she says 'I know'. WTF did she say it for then??? Then she gets a dig in about his hygiene and tops it all with a threat of violence. Loathsome woman.

The trouble is we dont really know what that was about in the kitchen, if I remember rightly it was straight after Frenchy went. I know that Dee had said to Ricci and Lauren that they would be alright now that Frenchy had gone because it was Frenchy who had nominated them.

Have a look at Dee's face in this latest task, Gary wrote a piece about Stephanie which wasnt nasty at all, her face was a study. She clearly doesnt like or understand him.

I can't ****ing stand Gary. It's sad that the british public is not seeing through his act. He is an american reality tv *****. He is manipulative and winding the housemates up to try and get a reaction.

The spiritual bull**** he spews out is about as genuine as Mark's psychic abilities in the summer series.

I disagree totally with you but hey say you were correct, it is a game and may the best man win

On the other hand though I do not think that so many of the public can be wrong, he speaks natural truths which we could learn for ourselves. If we understood where our emotions come from and why, why were we feeling like that etc. etc. was it my own fault? We can save ourselves a lot of illness and aggression just by trying to see ourselves. No matter what you say, he is doing that.

He hasnt had one bad word to say about anyone, he has apologised over and over again for his so called misdeameanours. He has become their lapdog but, he is the wisest of them all because pride comes before that bloomin fall.

Dee is looking tired and miserable to me, and she is getting more and more intolerant and bad tempered.

Gary also appears to have his mask slipping a bit more these days, and definitely doesn't appear virtuous, but I'd say that Dee is coming out worse.

Gary after all is a pretty seasoned reality show player - this is new for Dee.

I think Dee came off worse especially as it appeared he adjusted his position on the garden chair and leant forward as he was speaking and Dee then told him not to get in her face and leant forward and deliberately and got in his face.

He then seemed bewildered as to why she was getting in his face???

I think Gary's hearing has caused him to invade personal space (not his fault he's just getting close to hear better), but it makes the others uncomfortable, it's not helped by him talking in riddles half the time (Gary is one of my favourites, and it amuses me when he does this, i love seeing the HM's faces doing the wtf expression, lol.)

I think the others haven't cottoned on to looking at him straight on so that he can lip read (a lot of people with hearing problems do this), they instead look to the floor whilst talking or talk whilst looking around, or talk whilst walking off.

I feel sorry for Gary as it's becoming increasingly obvious to himself that he's disliked, and that must be horrid for him to experience.

Hi Ruby, I think it is the others we have to feel sorry for, they are just jumped up wannabees who have to have a scapegoat. There is usually one or two in each series, this time it is Gary. After all he has reached the big 70. What some of them should remember is this, we are all on a learning curb and age does not have any boundaries. They think they are young, attractive and adorable little things but they have so much to learn. Some are at that stage whereby they wouldnt even want to admire an "old twisted fool" in their eyes. They are so wrong it is so so sad.

I doubt very much whether he cares if they like him, he is not vindictive and he realises that they to are on that learning curb, they have a long long way to go. He understands the emotions and the whys and wherefores, why did they do that. Can I ease their pain? I do not think he is the least bit concerned about himself. He has a far better insight than any of them will have at this moment in time. There may come a time when they will look back and see what despicable creatures some of them were, I doubt it though as they will make excuses to themselves and then go on to the next car crash. They will soon be forgotten and possibly end up in an OAP home with a Mama Dee looking after them and bullying them into submission.

What a lovely post Jules

I agree with everything you've said!

That's what makes me laugh when he talks in riddles, you have to really listen to what he says and if you do that he makes sense, the others are too up themselves to have the patience to listen, and he comes across as a lovely warm person who himself is learning. The others see him as the problem, but he's there for them to learn about themselves, and i'm sure when they watch it back they will then learn their lesson.

I really hope Gary wins

I actually do believe that Dee feels intimidated by Gary. I think he knows that and plays up to it and I wouldn't be surprised if he is quite chuffed by her over-reaction to him.

He isn't really "engaged" with anyone in there I think, whether his fault or theirs. The fact that he chose to nominate Frenchy over other possibles says something about where his head and gameplaying is at.

dee is a very aggressive lazy impatient person. she has a very nasty side to her, the fact she has stolen from old people before says a lot about the respect she lacks for older people. she even stooped so low as to say gary was physically incapable of being on the show. she has threatened several people to tear their eyes out, now to smash garys face in etc she has constantly mocked him and sworn about him and run him down behind his back and shown him less than no empathy . the fact shes not been warned for unacceptable behaviour is a disgrace. if a man threatened female housemates hed get a serious dressing down

Dee without a shadow of a doubt, she's very bombastic and tries to railroad gary in conversations, he tried very hard to understand and explain how her reasoning was wrong but she was not sensitive enough to realise how offensive she was being...
She might have well said 'you're old and past it gary get out!' all because he fell over, she fell over too iirc.

I suspect it could quite easily be Gary specific rather than ageism per se, but we'll never know now.

He's a pain in the bum, and very entertaining because of it - but as he seems to bring out the worst in people he is playing a blinder.
