This Witch doesn't burn

Sometimes I do downstairs, if I am running in or out to the car or garden or something, its all hard floors so its not really an issue, its not like I'm going to be eating my dinner off the floor and we have a dog so the mop is always on standby, upstairs no we don't wear shoes and I always take my shoes off watching tv
Would never ask guests to take their shoes off, we have a mat at the front door and they wipe their feet, and I think it would be evident if they walked in with dog **** on their soles

Yes. I know I shouldn't but I'm too lazt to take them off if I know I'll have to put them back on again soon after
. If I'm not going back out I obviously take them off. Also - asking guests to take off their shoes before they come in is really ****ing weird. I would legitimately rather just say "Nah I'll just not come in" than take off my shoes to go into a non-family-member's house for 10 minutes. Perverts. I mean if the whole ground floor is kitted out in cream carpet....maybe but I think there would rather have a bit of street dirt than someone else's sweaty socks marking my floor

If I’ve been outside and I have the intention of going back outside again I’ll keep them on, but if I haven’t or I’m not going back outside I don’t, I’m not a monster

I'd be permanently barefoot, indoors and out if I could get away with it.

Yes of course, i dont change into my slippers until all my work is done about 8.30, I would never walk about in stocking soles or worse bare feet. Utterly gross.

It's kind of custom in Asian culture to go barefoot around the house and I've been doing it for my whole life.
Even when people come over to my house or I come over to somebody else's, it's natural to remove shoes and come in barefoot or wearing socks. |

We have oak flooring throughout downstairs...we have a mat at our front door so unless we have muddy shoes we keep them on. We never ask our guests to remove their shoes...I find it rude to ask.

No I take them off usually, for comfort no other reason, I wouldn't ask any guest to take their shoes off

Most of the time I don't, however it's impractical at times, since often I'm in and out the house and I'd be doing not much else but putting shoes on and off.
At present, not going out much, only with my Staffie, shoes are off when we get back, yes. Normally, (not during this pandemic with really no one visiting the house), I'd never ask anyone to take their shoes off when they visit. My Staffie is in and out, I can't ask him to take his paws off, so a little bit of mopping or hoovering is really no big chore anyway. Last edited by joeysteele; 26-06-2020 at 10:18 AM. |
