George & Alexis Warr!
|
i'm not watching rings of power, or anything else from lord of the rings
so i cannot make the comparison myself i find lord of the rings so boring and taking way too long (same goes for harry potter, also too long for my liking) and it's too ''fantasy'' weirdly, i find game of thrones, house of the dragon having more realism of medieval times and more actors whom i know in game of thrones franchise too (and my bias our stars Carice van Houten, Michiel Huisman ![]()

''Dutch Adonis'' Michiel Huisman returning in the Jon Snow spin off pls as Daario Naharis
finding out Jon murdered his love and he wants to have his revenge would make up for a nice storyline i think Daario learning to ride Drogon would also make more sense

It's the blood of old Valyria, but as it's only the Targaryen's that are still around, Dario would be a snack if he approached Drogon.

Also, I think Dario probably needs to move on at this point. I know some relationships are tougher to get over than others, but c'mon dude.

Also, in what way do you #standwithIran? You stand by their right to murder women in the street for not wearing a head scarf?

So far I’m loving HOD, but haven’t seen lotr but seen the movies which I thought were ok I guess so it makes me think I won’t really enjoy the tv show. Might be wrong though

Well, imo if you thought the movies were only OK then ROP won't do much for you because they're a lot worse than the Films (which I loved)

Niamh is right in that sense, if you didn't love the Trilogy then it's unlikely that you're gonna love ROP because imo it's weaker quality. But then I suppose the same could be said for HOTD, if you don't love GOT then you're chances of loving HOTD should be low imo. ![]()

Rings of Power misses the mark by a mile. Tone, filmography, sound track... it just misses on every aspect. If it was a random standalone fantasy series I think I'd find it decent enough but as LOTR it's just a huge disappointment. |

I meant though that quality wise I feel like the Trilogy is better than ROP, so I'd personally be surprised if someone preferred ROP to LOTR. Welcome to the Forum btw. ![]()

Dario had serious identity issues too. He changed dramatically one series to the next

The first one had a really over pronounced facial features. He was simultaneously handsome, and difficult to look at.

I tried watching the Lord of the Rings spin-off series last night .. managed about 15 minutes and left them climbing up a wall of ice ….Game of Thrones did that better
![]() I may try again tonight but I found it remarkably slow moving and tedious .. Is it really worth persisting with ?? Does it get a lot better ... soon ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I just felt that ROP's slowness at least was building up potential storylines for the second Season. Oh and less man hating.

Season 2 is out now. I watched the first episode in the hope that they had picked up the pace. Unfortunately, it remains the same

I haven't watched either ,but from what I gather...
Rings Of Power is more family friendly...so I'd be more inclined to watch that ,plus I was never a big GOT fan. |
