I was on Facebook and somebody had posted a clip of Nikki’s air con tantrum from BB7 and I wanted to watch the full series. I went on YouTube and typed in Big Brother 2005 which was the wrong year but I thought the housemates were so good I ended up watching that whole series instead .

I was curious to find out what the housemates from BB6 were up to and one of the google links sent me here. I did lurk for a few months before I actually joined tho.

Via DS housemate poll thread (favorite or eviction), I think.

It listed thisisbigbrother.com as one of the sources for a poll (name of the site first and below the poll results).

So when I did one of the housemate favorite or eviction polls on DS, I came and check the first page and then eventually entered the forums, lurked as a guest for a while until finally joining.

as i said back then 2 years ago, i found it when looking for a nice BB forum

now BBUK is kinda on its hiatus, i just stay for other RTV discussions, forum games, and the news discussions

also still find it hilarious how british moan about their shows, while their shows seem much lovelier than some of the ***** in my country

I've been a BB fan since Season 1 and a fan of forums since 1998, I was googling something BB related in 2013 and the two magically came together in perfect harmony . Just think - if I'd thought to look for a BB forum earlier, you could have had me here from the off ... Although I was a very (VERY) different person as a teenager so there's a pretty good chance I would have been permanently banned within a couple of years.

Funnily enough, 2013 was the LAST season of Big Brother I properly watched and enjoyed, I only on-and-off watched 2014 and Helen Wood and co killed the entire civilian show for me. I watched the final season in 2018 'cos we knew it was the last, but I haven't seen anything of the 2015, 16 and 17 shows .

So I came for BB but clearly I stayed for the highbrow company & scintillating conversation .

I'd only really seen a few CBB series and patches of normal BB before but when BB11 was supposed to be the last ever series I decided to watch it all and was surprised by how into it I got. I didn't really have anyone to discuss it with though so googled BB forums and ended up on DS. For some reason though they wouldn't let me sign up with a hotmail account so I gave up and tried the site second down the search results instead. If my email had been accepted I probably would have never found TiBB and never had my proudest achievement of becoming a forum moderator
