The double standard is actually the other way tho, that's like a counter to show the reverse logic

That cop Derek, and some other cops: awful, incompetent, should've never been hired/kept

The cops in clips that are coming up during these protests: some are awful, some a bit exaggerated (most clips are going over the line tho & unjustifiable for the police to be doing but it is still a big minority) --- keep in mind these cops work with criminals daily so some might get overly forceful & defensive/ordering in this line of work, but it's definitely crossing lines to start beating/attacking/even murdering people and they def shouldn't be messing with peaceful protesters at all

Still, the overwhelming vast majority of cops: good people, heroes doing a job right... don't see how that could or would be under some totally faulty, corrupt "built on racism" police system.


Any corruption likely mainly comes from cover-ups for comrades, which is wrong especially in the cases of murders but it doesn't mean it's a racially motivated systematic issue. Some awful people just end up going rogue in anything in life (as we see with shootings & right now certain rioters with the BLM protests) and some close to them may try to help regardless how bad which I think is the biggest thing that needs to be set straight with all of this.

They can fix a lot. They can investigate more cases/departments, they can look into their work force including those in highest positions and start firing the questionable ones or those with multiple charges against their name already like Derek had. Some overhaul could be necessary/good right now but I don't think the problem is at the core / entire police system that we have now.

A "good cop" is someone that communicates with the public and stops bad cops from doing bad things.

In ALL of the videos i have watched in the past month bar 2 out of like 1000+ (which i will mention below) have all either joined in or watched bad cops do bad things. So if there are 30 on scene and 1 cop doing bad things, that is 29 bad cops because they watched it happen.

In oath, it states that police officers must intervene if they see bad conduct by police, but no one does.

The only "good" ones i have seen is a woman cop who grabbed a male cop and took him back to the car saying "what are you doing!" when the male cop was about to hit a peaceful protester.

And the second was a male cop telling another bad cop to take his knee off the neck of a man when witnesses were screaming "he has his knee on his neck"

Trump is not the problem in this, yeah, loads of people don't like him, want to get rid of him etc, but he shouldn't be the focus. It makes a resolution much less likely

The problems in the police force aren't Trump's fault any more than Obama's. Yes, the problems should have been solved by now, but they weren't. Hopefully they will be.

It kind of is losing focus, there isn't a major politician around who doesn't have questionable supporters. I'm fairly sure he's denounced the KKK during his presidency?
