I remember hearing something about putting their initials together and I laughed at it, but now I forget it.

So what's the funny part?

She is But her Christian name is Catherine so she's married as that. Kate is just the shortened version. Like a James may prefer Jim or Jimmy or an Elizabeth may want to be known as Liz, Libby, Beth or Betty

Fgs, they used Catherine for her wedding as its her full name.

Doesn't mean everyone's gonna have to call her Catherine Elizabeth, Duchess of Cambridge every time they speak to her. It's just her official title.
