Default Are you a rude queue jumper?

British people i have found generally are happy to queue and take their turn except when it comes to queuing in supermarkets and stores, its quite common place for those last in the queue to go haring off as soon as another till opens without so much as a nod to the people who were in front of them in the queue and it really does my head in

So it is okay to do this or is the polite thing to do to offer the people in front the chance and if they don't want to move then hare off...
