something we can all agree on...
Scum Police are hunting for a jogger who kicked a baby swan as he ran through a London park, leaving it so badly injured that it died. The newborn cygnet was reportedly left with brain damage after the man kicked it as he jogged in Richmond Park in south-west London at around 5.30pm on Monday, June 8. It was taken to the Swan Sanctuary charity in Middlesex but its injuries proved too severe and on Wednesday — a day after issuing an appeal for witnesses to the incident —Royal Parks Police announced that it had died. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...rtan-ntp-feeds

kinda also shocked the person who did this is an older man
since you mostly read these ''abusing animal'' stories with kids, teens involved

Until 1998 it was still classed as treason to kill a swan....now its still illegal. Poor thing....I'm actually terrified of swans but could never hurt one.
Hope they kick him when they find him

The big park here has some of the biggest swans I’ve ever seen in my life, I’d never willingly hurt at animal but if one of those big bastards run up on me, limbs would start swinging

yep the Daddy swan at our local park is super scary when he starts flapping his wings but it's to warn off people getting too close to the cygnets so just stay back maybe?

You would attack an animal instead of removing yourself from the situation? ... hmm.

Im not scared of birds, but the ones that look like Hulk Hogan in swan form freak me out and they charge at you, they’re very aggressive animals, especially the ones that are used to being fed so they think everyone is gonna feed them, like you can have my house keys if it’ll keep you away from me?

Just shocking.
No word bad enough to describe the jogger in my view. Swans are beautiful. |

I'm terrifed of swans and geese. There used to be a scrap yard near my nans and it had geese as guard dogs....those things loved to chase you.....and they were quick. My brother used to threaten to take me there and tie me to a tree and leave me there when we were kids.
When we were kids my mum and dad took us on a boating holiday on the Thames and the weather was gorgeous. I wanted to feed the ducks off the back of the boat but my mum said not to - so I did it anyway. There was a duck and her ducklings following us and I was having a lovely time throwing bread to them until a swan came along and attacked and killed one of the ducklings over a piece of bread. I was heartbroken, my mum was all "i told you not to do that" and my brother was all "you're a duckling killer" and so that it the main reason I am not keen on swans (as well as the big scary beak and massive wing span)

I was once on a visit to Walsingham, I was 13. While walking around, we passed a gate with a notice on saying beware of the Geese. I laughed thinking Geese, and it seemed a shortcut to where I was heading.. Wow, did I get an awakening They came charging at us and were really intimidating and vicious. We ran like crazy, for what seemed like ages, they were relentless. Once safe, I was puffed out but what an awakening. I laughed about it a short time later, learned not to doubt notices like that in future. I'd still never have tried to harm one though. Last edited by joeysteele; 11-06-2020 at 10:55 AM. |
