My fellow United fans i know we are playing Amazing and are playing the best football we have for 10 years now with an average age of 22
BUT what has happend to Paddy Evra his a complete Liabilty defencivly and has been for 2 years now
For the first half of last season Evra was poor. Maybe it was due to what went on at the World Cup with France.
He became better in the second half of the season, I thought. But his performance against Barcelona was just awful. I know he wasn't the only one to not perform well but, I believe he was the worst of the bunch.
I thought he did well against Arsenal except for Walcott's goal. That was some of the worst positioning from a defender I will ever see.

Rooney, Smalling and Young all played in England's win of course.
Wazza scored twice and Young had one assist for the second goal of his. Pleased for the United lads!
I'm disgusted that Ashley Young had to suffer racist taunts in Bulgaria:mad:, moronic minorty in the crowds doing it and I hope that the English and Bulgarian FA do something aobut it.

Ryan Paddy has been very poor for a while now. His postioning is terrible he tucks in far to much leaving the man completly free behind him ala Pedro goal in champs league final. But what really bothers me is his lack of urgency when coming back he litrally walks back when the other team are attacking us more often than not this year i have seen Young SPRINTING back to help in defence while Paddy just walks
On a more positive not Fletcher played well for Scotland today which should hopefully end Carrick the slug mins on the pitch. In europe away from Home our midfield 3 should be Fletch , Anderson and Cleverly

Evra is definitely not the same player he was. Although this is nothing compared to his debut for United.
He was replaced at half-time due to how woeful he was.

Well, I don't think he's as bad as he was in the first half of the campaign last season. I think he's had a decent start to the campaign this year.
Back in the summer of 2010 Inter Milan and Real Madrid were tracking him, I bet last summer they thought they'd had a lucky escape.

Dirty Leeds 0 Manchester United 3:devil::D.
Nice brace from Owen and that strike from Giggsy. Being able to play a winger and midfielder (Valencia and Carrick) in defence shows just how good United's squad is.
Overall a good performance. Glad Fryers, Pogba and Cole got chances to make thier full first team debut. Shame Fryers went off injured and we ended up playing Berbs in defence due to all 3 subs being used:D.

We were lucky against Norwich yesterday, the away side missed a few good chances to score.

we not been the same since we changed our line up and formation against benfica
it totally threw our confidence and momentum out the window
rule number one is - NEVER CHANGE A WINNING TEAM
don't need to rest everyone at once
we should have rested just one or two players against benfica and kept the same formation and style of play going
then next game rest a different player and keep on like this
4-5-1 sucks

Don't know what Rooney was thinking doing that to get sent off but tbh not bothered because I really don't care how England do anymore.
As long as he's doing the goods for United then that is all I care about but he might have been distracted about his dad and uncle being arrested about the betting ring. Glad Ashley Young scored and that Phil Jones made his England debut.
Nani scored 2 goals for Portugal, however Fabio and Evra picked up knocks playing for their countries:bored:.

We wont beat Loserpool at Anfield sadly for 2 main reasons
1. This is there CUP FINAL as long as they beat us there fans will be happy even without winning any trophies again
2. Fergie will play Carrick and Fletch is a disgusting 3 man midfield
Cleverly should be back and i dont care if he is match fit or not he is 20 times the player sloth Carrick is
This should be the team barring Smalling Clev and Vida are back like they should be from injury
De Gea
Jones Smalling Vidic Evans (Sick of evra's lazy approach to defence)
Nani Anderson Cleverly Young
Rooney
Welbeck ( Hernandez hasnt looked the same since that head injury in pre-season)
Sadly i can see it being
De Gea
Smalling Rio Jones Evra
Park Giggs/Carrick Fletch Ando Young
Rooney

Ferguson knew a draw or a defeat isn't a disaster. However, tonight is a far more important match. If United were to lose tonight, they'll be in massive danger of not qualifying.
And Cleverley and Anderson are different players to Carrick and Fletcher. You're running a massive risk going with those pair in big matches ahead of a defensive player.
Giggs wasn't great against Liverpool but he was great against Benfica and Leeds, and he hasn't had that much football this season.
Personally, i'd pick him over Cleverley or Anderson. Don't forget the way he ran the show against Chelsea last season. He's still got it in him to be a big game player.

When all is fit and well in the squad this SHOULD be our team
De Gea
Fabio Rio Vidic Evra
Nani Ando Cleverly Young
Rooney
Welbeck
Both Smalling and espcially Jones get caught out postionally way to often which is ti be expected as there not fullbacks
If and when Rio is injured Smalling should be ahead of Jones as imo he is the better defender
Midfield is not even debateable our best performances this year (2nd half vs City in CS) ( Arsenal) (Spurs) and our pre-season games have come when cloggers such as Carrick and Fletch have been left out. Yes we are more Open like this (although this point is much more inflated than it actually is as we have been conceding just as many goals with the cloggers in the middle. Howerver with this midield we just OOZE goals and actual creativity
As for Welbeck over Hernandez this is a tough one but lets be honest Hernandez's link up play is quite terrible and is caught offside WAY to much. Welbeck's link up play is sensational and has shown this season he will score goals + Hernandez is a great option off the bench whilst Danny is not quite so effective off the bench

Ryan Carrick and Giggs have been brill vs Barca the last 2 times we played them in CL finals havent they
Although they did not have there best team in pre season (still had 6 of the players from cl finals) we beat them and should have scored maney more without the Cloggers in our team
If we played Barca this should be the team we play
De Gea
Smalling Rio Vidic
Park
Nani Anderson Cleverly Young
Rooney
Welbeck
DEFENCE- No point playing fullbacks vs Barca as everything comes through the middle playing 3 cb's help nulify this
Midfield - Fergie made a HUGE mistake not having Park man mark Messi last year. Park would never and would pressure Messi for the whole Match which is what you need to do unlike last year when he was let roam the pitch smh
Attack- Rooney would effectivly play as another cm and would help pack the middle which has to be done vs Barca. As for Danny it is quite an easy choice Chico is a legend but was one of the main reasons we lost last year with his constant offsides giving the ball straight back to Barca. Danny is big strong and quick and would be perfect for this game
Key Bench players - I would have Evra as a LM replacement for Young
Pogba would be there because he is already 100x better than Fletch and Carrick
And of course Chico on after say 60 -65 mins when there defence is tired
Ryan57

Ryan Carrick and Giggs have been brill vs Barca the last 2 times we played them in CL finals havent they
Remember Anderson featured in the 2009 final and was poor.
Had either Fletcher or Anderson been fit, they might of played ahead of Giggs. Giggs had a great season but the whole Imogen thing came out the same week as the final and it's too much to ask of a 37 year old to keep up with Barca.
However, that's in hindsight. I would of picked that exact team Ferguson did in the final in May. However, again in hindsight, I reckon Nani was the biggest mistake of Ferguson's. In the pre-season game he scared Abidal, and other Barca players.
He's the sort of player that when you're going to get the odd chance to attack Barcelona, he'll scare them to death.
I certainly wouldn't play Barcelona without a defensive midfielder though. I reckon we'd get battered.

i had a feeling that city would have a comfortable win today
did not expect 6, but i did fear a 3-0 loss or something
united have been awful since the game against benfica, stumbling and scraping the odd win and draw, whereas city have kept up their early season form
THIS, today, is why you NEVER change a winning team and formation
you lose all momentum and lose all the confidence and form and it continues to effect you until you get the spark back
going into the game city were full of beans and united were full of rotten fishes, so not surprising the result
united need to ensure they recover fast, time to get rid of a few of the older and slow players and focus on the young, fresh breed like start of season

That 6-1 yesterday might occur again without a defensive midfielder against the best team on the planet.
Regarding yesterday, the sooner that prophet sets another date for the world to end the better.
Edit: Legend Killer, there was a reason for Sniejder not arriving. Inter made it clear that they'd let either Eto'o or Sneijder go, due to wanting the wage bill to come down. They got rid of Eto'o which crippled any move for Sneijder. Add to this that, like I believed all summer, Sneijder wasn't desperate for a move to United. He's happy in Milan.

That was all rumour. There was a whole bunch of stuff going around during the saga.
Inter only wanted rid of one player. After Eto'o moved that crippled any Sneijder deal. Add to that the fact Sneijder didn't even want to leave.
And I don't think Ferdinand is finished, personally. Remember that the back four has constantly changed all season.

Here is my team and tactics.
4-3-3 formation
Centre backs = Smalling and Vidic.
Fullbacks = Evra and Valencia.
Defensive midfielder = Jones.
Attacking midfielders = Anderson and Cleverley
Forwards = Nani, Rooney, Young
When defending, Anderson and Cleverley drop back, flank Jones on either side and form a mobile defensive line in front of the back four.
Rooney's job is to press and hurry any midfielders who drop deep.
Nani and Young stay up front ready for a quick counter attack, they press the centre backs and any deep lying players.
Once we get the ball we attack.
Rooney sprints straight down the middle looking for space.
Nani and Young are ready to fun down the channels and flanks.
Anderson and Cleverley move forward into central position behind Rooney and try to create chances and keep possession.
If one of the attacking fullbacks decides to make a run forward then the wide forward on his side makes his way into a central position to join Rooney.
For example, Evra breaks down the left. Young would join Rooney and Nani in the box. Anderson and Cleverley are just outside the box.
We can attack and score :elephant:
Whichever fullback goes forward, they are safe in the knowledge that Jones is there to provide the necessary cover.
If we need to make an attacking substitution, we bring on an extra striker for Jones and change to a 4-2-4. :elephant:

I don't see how you can deem reserve players, who are yet to play at the highest level, as better than what is currently available.
Carrick does his job, of holding play. He's not meant to do anything more. He does that job extremely well. At one point last season, he had the most interceptions in the whole league (not sure if he still was at the end of the season).
Fletcher is still finding his feet again. He's been out for several months. He was poor last season but, i'm sure he'll get back to how he was before.
Anderson began the season well but, it still seems like his inconsistency is still there.
Cleverley made a bright start to the campaign.
Giggs has barely played but, I still think he can do a good job.
I don't see a whole lot wrong with the midfield at present. It would of been nice to sign Sneijder but, Anderson and Cleverley's development would of been hindered.

SAF is a legend, whether he is liked or hated he is the best manager IMO (although that debate will forever go on).
25 years is a great acheivement and it has shown the commitment, desire and man management at the club as a whole to ensure success on and off the pitch and it is not a surprise the players all like learning and playing for him.
SAF also has the ability to adapt to the new changes in football, despite being old school!

Highly-rated PSV Eindhoven prospect Andreas Pereira has confirmed he will join Manchester United in the New Year.

Andreas Pereira visited Old Trafford
Pereira, 15, has represented Belgium at youth level and agreed a deal to move to Old Trafford in 2012, despite interest from other clubs in the Premier League and around Europe.
The Brazilian-born midfielder revealed that a one-on-one chat with United manager Sir Alex Ferguson played a key role in his decision.
"I knew that PSV had given me my chance, but Manchester United is obviously a great club," Pereira told VoetbalPrimeur. "Other British clubs were interested. I thought about it, but Manchester United is a dream club for me.
"I have been a few times to Manchester United to have a look. I got a tour and spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson. Being a 15-year-old and being able to talk with him is great!"
PSV signed Pereira from Belgian side Lommel United, after he moved to Belgium as a youngster. He is widely regarded as one of the finest players in his age group in Europe.

Manchester United chief executive David Gill has underlined the requirement for Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement to be completely in tune with the values so prevalent at Old Trafford.
Ferguson celebrated 25 years in the United hotseat on Sunday and has shown no inclination to surrender his position so the search for a successor has yet to begin.
However, when it does, Gill has highlighted some non-negotiable requirements the new man must meet.
'It will be difficult to replace him - it's naive to say anything other than that,' Gill told MUTV. 'But we are a great club whose values go back in history to our heritage to the '50s and '60s and the last 25 years with Alex.
'To continue with that, the new manager needs to understand those values and the vision for the club and must buy into that.'
As he approaches his 70th birthday on New Year's Eve, no-one could accuse Ferguson of concentrating on his immediate priority of withstanding the challenge posed by Manchester City at the expense of United's future.
In Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley, Ferguson has integrated a quartet of young English players to his squad this season that could provide a platform for United over the next decade.
'The important point to make is the new manager, whenever that may be and whomever that may be, will be taking over a great, great club, in a great, great sport and Alex, in particular, will want to make sure he inherits a great squad,' said Gill.
'That's our goal - to make sure when the new manager comes in he does have a great squad to work with in terms of age and profile.'
The chances of Ferguson's replacement emulating the Scot's success - 12 Premier League titles and two European Cups - is remote, though. And Gill feels Ferguson's work goes far beyond that.
'Alex's legacy to United is to my mind very clear - delivering an unprecedented period of success in the Manchester United way,' he said.
'By that, I mean attractive football using young players - both homegrown and buying players when necessary like Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, but actually developing our own players.
'That record is there for everyone to see and that legacy is very clear also.
'Within that, he's made sure he's cemented United's position as one of the top clubs in world football.
'We're very well respected clearly in this country and around the world. You only have to see our following there on tour in America and Asia, plus in Europe when you speak to any other club.
'United are rightly held in very high esteem down in no small measure to what Alex has achieved in the last 25 years.'

We were never going to get someone worthwhile in January. Who would turn down CL football or leave CL football for Europa (If your not even cup tied that is). Summer will be the key time when we hopefully recover from Wednesday night and have a good season, attracting the central midfielder we so badly need.
We gotta act quick before the Euro Championships cause the obvious price inflation after. Inter aren't doing too well but I got a feeling City will try get him just to take the piss. No excuses over money. We spent a **** load on De Gea,Young & Jones, those were obviously who Fergie wanted over a CM and I am sure they will come good in the end.

Manchester United and Scotland midfielder Darren Fletcher is taking an extended break from football due to a serious stomach illness.
A United statement said the 27-year-old is suffering from ulcerative colitis, a chronic inflammatory bowel condition.
His last game was in the Champions League against Benfica on 22 November, when he scored.
The club said Fletcher had "accepted medical advice to take an extended break".
He is taking that break "in order to afford the best chance possible of achieving full remission once again".
FLETCHER'S CAREERContinue reading the main story

•Debut: v Basel, 12 March, 2003 (Champions League second group stage)
•Most recent game: v Benfica, 22 November, 2011 (Champions League group stage)
The statement added: "Darren's continued desire to play and his loyalty to both club and country has probably compromised the chances of optimising his own health and fitness.
"We request that his privacy is respected and hope that the removal of the additional stress associated with speculation regarding his health will also aid his recovery."
Fletcher signed a new four-year deal until 2015 with United in March.
United defender Rio Ferdinand said on Twitter: "We are going to miss two big players in Fletcher and [Nemanja] Vidic. I hope they both come back fitter and stronger than ever."
Fletcher made only one start for United last term after 1 March and was an unused substitute for the 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Barcelona. He has made 10 appearances in all competitions for United during the current campaign.
Fletcher's absence is another blow to United's season, which suffered a huge setback last week when the club were eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage for only the third time in 16 years.
The Scotland midfielder's illness leaves United manager Sir Alex Ferguson with yet another problem in the champions' troublesome area of midfield.
The club's only fit, specialist midfielders are Michael Carrick, Park Ji-sung, Darron Gibson and Ryan Giggs. They also have versatile Phil Jones plus reserve midfielders Paul Pogba and Ravel Morrison as options.
Their injured list in midfield includes Anderson, expected back in February, and Tom Cleverley - who is aiming to be back for some of Christmas fixtures.
The likes of Antonio Valencia, Nani and Ashley Young all play wide roles when United opt for a 4-4-2 formation.
Fletcher's last appearance in international football came in November's 2-1 friendly win for Scotland in Cyprus, in which he played 64 minutes before being replaced by Craig Mackail-Smith.
Scotland's next match is a friendly against Slovenia in February.
Craig Levein, Scotland's manager, said: "I am obviously absolutely devastated for Darren because I know how hard he has worked to get back to playing regularly for his club and country.
"He is one of the most inspirational players I have had the pleasure of working with and, on behalf of his Scotland team-mates and my backroom staff, I sincerely hope this time off, allied to the support of his family, will enable him to make a full recovery."
Levein hailed Fletcher's on-pitch efforts, adding: "Darren has shown tremendous dedication and fortitude, demonstrated by his ability to overcome this illness and perform at the highest level for Manchester United and Scotland.
"I spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson and Darren this week and the most important thing, at this stage, is for the player to be given time to rest and recuperate. Nobody is more committed to his country's cause than our captain.
"He is a central part of our plans for the World Cup 2014 qualifiers but, at this stage, his health is paramount and I would like to reiterate the best wishes of everyone at involved with the national team and the Scottish FA."

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is relishing the prospect of facing Ajax in the last-32 of the Europa League.
The Premier League club were knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage for only the third time in 17 consecutive years, following a 2-1 away defeat to Basel.
However, the tie against the Dutch is evocative of a top European clash, and the Old Trafford boss revealed he has yet to face Ajax in competitive football in his long managerial career.
Ferguson told the club’s official website: “Ajax are a good team and I've never faced them in competitive European football. I'm looking forward to it.”
The winner of the tie will face either Lokomotiv Moscow or Athletic Bilbao is the last-16 of the tournament.
Ajax manager Frank de Boer expressed his delight at drawing a quality club like Manchester United and said he expects the English side to be tough adversaries.
“United is a fantastic opponent. I'd rather had them in the Champions League, but that's behind us now,” the Dutch coach lamented to reporters after the draw. “We can't do anything about it anymore.
“We do have chances against them because I don't expect them to start with their best squad. Still they will bring quality players on the pitch.
“Off course it's difficult to see Lyon draw APOEL Nicosia, because if we were there we stood a good chance.
“I think it's going to be a good experience for the trainers and off course for the players, that's the most important thing
“I think I played one friendly match against Manchester United myself. It was when Peter Schmeichel was still goalkeeper at Old Trafford.
“Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I scored a free kick that match.”
On Twitter, 19-year-old Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen responded to the draw with excitement and reacted with a taunt towards Old Trafford goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, who joined the current Premier League holders in January.
He said: “We have drawn Manchester United in the Europa League! Sorry @ALindegaard but you are going down!”

Good win for United:devil::D. We should have scored more goals with all them wasted chances.
Valencia and Rooney are a good combination and great to see Carrick score his first goal in ages, what a run. Delighted Hernandez is back too!

Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs is set to discuss a contract extension with manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The midfielder, who turned 38 at the end of November, has made 15 appearances for the club so far this season in all competitions, scoring three goals.
Giggs' current deal is due to expire at the end of the season, but the Welsh winger has suggested he is not ready to follow former team-mate Paul Scholes into retirement.

"It's almost that time when I'll sit down with the manager and see what his plans are and I'll see how I'm feeling [about] playing for another season," he told the club's official website.
"At the moment I feel really good and I'm enjoying things more than ever, so we'll just have to wait and see."
Giggs was on target in the 5-0 victory over Fulham on Wednesday to continue his record of scoring in every Premier League season, and is enjoying his role as a central midfield player alongside Michael Carrick.
He added: "I love playing there. I've made no secret of that and it's probably my preferred position now."
"I said the other night it's a joy for me and Michael to play in midfield when you've got the movement in front of you like we had at Fulham."
"It makes our job so much easier when you've got three or four players making great runs when you're on the ball."

Ryan Giggs feels the wealth of experience available to Manchester United could give them the edge in this season's Premier League title race.
The Red Devils have moved level on points with local rivals Manchester City and now trail them only on goal difference.
However, the Blues still appear the ones to beat having played most of the top six contenders away from home.
United, meanwhile, have taken them all on at Old Trafford, apart from Liverpool, including October's 6-1 massacre by City.
Nerve
Yet Giggs feels his chances of securing a record 13th championship medal in May depend upon which side keeps their nerve on the run-in.
And, having embarked on that journey so many times before, the veteran Welshman is confident United will come through the test.
"The experience that the manager, the players and the coaching staff have of what's required in the second half of the season, as well as the overall hunger and desire to win competitions will help us," Giggs told United's official website.
"Big players can't wait for big games and towards the end of the season the games just get bigger and bigger.
"You want that in the run-in - you want to be involved in big games and going for the title. That's why you become a footballer."
Barring an unexpected disaster against basement boys Blackburn at Old Trafford on New Year's Eve, United will end 2011 on top of the table because City are not in action at Sunderland until 24 hours later.
It is an amazing achievement in a season scarred by that City defeat, in addition to a calamitous exit from the UEFA Champions League group phase.
Those setbacks heaped enormous pressure onto the Red Devils, although Giggs was not surprised by that.
Criticism
"You're always going to get criticism here," he said. "If you're not top of the league there's something wrong and if you get knocked out of competitions you're always going to get criticised.
"That's something you just have to get used to. You can't sulk or moan about it.
"We've had setbacks throughout the years and you learn from them and they can help in a way."

EXCLUSIVE: Smalling shock for United as fever may force defender out for three months
Manchester United fear key defender Chris Smalling could be out for three months with glandular fever.
Smalling, 22, missed the Boxing Day win over Wigan with what was thought to be a heavy cold, but the illness is more serious and he will remain on the long list of United players currently sidelined through injury or illness.
The acute stage of glandular fever — usually involving flu-like symptoms and fatigue — lasts up to two weeks, but sufferers cannot do strenuous exercise for at least two months. For a professional footballer, it will be longer.
That would be a huge setback for Smalling and United, already without Darren Fletcher, Nemanja Vidic, Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley, Anderson, Jonny Evans, Fabio Da Silva and Michael Owen.
Former Liverpool and Sunderland physio Mark Leather believes United’s £10million signing from Fulham could be out for three months if his illness is confirmed by the club.
He said: ‘You can get back into shape in two months but it might be another three to four weeks before you’re firing on all cylinders. The first time he would be able to play a full game would be nearer to three months.’
Rio Ferdinand and Phil Jones missed the win over Wigan but are expected back for Saturday’s clash with Blackburn at Old Trafford.
Oh FFS if this is true but I hope he recovers fast:(.

Chris Smalling is suffering from tonsillitis and looks set to only miss Saturday's clash with Blackburn after sitting out the win over Wigan.
It had been reported on Friday morning that the England international could be out of action for three months with glandular fever but Sir Alex set the record straight at his press conference ahead of the game with struggling Rovers.
The cultured defender should be fit to play at Newcastle in United's first assignment of 2012 but is one of several stars sidelined for the New Year's Eve encounter at Old Trafford.
"Chris Smalling has got tonsillitis," confirmed Sir Alex. "I know there are reports about glandular fever but they're off the mark.
"He had glandular fever as a kid but that's not the case here. He should be ready for the Newcastle game, at least definitely the Manchester City game in the FA Cup. He'll be ready for those games."
The other injuries are causing some frustration at Carrington after problems at the back forced a major reshuffle against Wigan.
"We don't have much change," updated the boss. "Obviously injuries to the defenders are quite a concern now, with Jonny Evans taken off at half-time [on Monday]. We're hoping Phil Jones will be fit, there's possibly an outside chance that Rio Ferdinand will get on the bench. Other than that, we're the same."
Phew, what a relief that is:).

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov's goalscoring form across the festive period has earned him an extra year at Old Trafford, with Sir Alex Ferguson confirming that the club will extend the Bulgarian's contract.
United have a one-way option to extend Berbatov's deal by 12 months, and they will take advantage of that clause when it becomes active in March. His existing contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
Ferguson said: "We'll be exercising [the option to renew]. I think it kicks in in March."
Berbatov, who hit a hat-trick against Wigan on Boxing Day, has expressed his desire to stay at United, but was linked with a return to Bayer Leverkusen earlier this week. The 30-year-old has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season, making just two starts in the league.
He left Leverkusen for Tottenham in 2006, before completing a £30m move to United two years later.
I am thrilled about this news!:):D

The 2nd & 3rd goals would NOT of happened if Jones had Vidic,Rio or even Evans next to him. I am pretty sure of that. We lost this due to our makeshift defense being exposed. Our CMs and Attack managed to create enough to score twice.
What else could Fergie do? Play CB himself and tackle Yakubu?

I think Guardiola might be a good choice because he fancies managing in England at some point and has brought through some youngsters at Barcelona.
O'Neill and Moyes are good British managers but the pressure at OT would be immense and the club likes to stick to it's British roots..

As for the ronney matter Fergie needs to ****. He goes out of his way to keep him after he insults the club etc BUT leaves him out of an important game cause he went out for dinner. This is why i will always be team Keane

Overreaction? I mean he didn't set Industrial fireworks off and set his house on fire, ala, Balotelli :joker::joker:
Sorry, but I think Fergie lost the plot there, he only went out for a meal. Or is there more to it?
Rooney, Evans and Gibson went out on Boxing Day with their partners and had a few too many drinks then at training the day after apparently SAF wasn't impressed at their performance so fined them wage and removed from the Blackburn match (all this rumoured in the papers of course).
Rooney has sinced accepted the punishment and both parties want to move on from itbut will he ever learn?:bored:

Phil Jones may have been critical of Manchester United's performance against Blackburn on New Year's Eve but he is still loving life at the Barclays Premier League summit.
Having been given a reprieve by Manchester City's shock defeat at Sunderland, the Red Devils will remain in the thick of the title battle if they have better fortunes than their neighbours when they head to the north east to face Newcastle on Wednesday.
To enjoy such experiences is one of the major reasons why Jones left Blackburn last summer, and he conceded it is far better to be involved at the other end of the table, saying: "I am excited."
He added: "I am loving it. It was a nice feeling to get out of trouble with Blackburn on the last day of the season. It is an even nicer feeling knowing you are at the top of the table with a fantastic chance of winning the English title."
Jones was scathing of United's performance against Blackburn but the aftermath has been full of conjecture about Wayne Rooney, and a lesser extent, Darron Gibson, both of whom watched from an executive box at Old Trafford when it had been anticipated they would be involved.
Although there has been no word from United about whether the pair will be part of Ferguson's squad for the trip to Tyneside, it would be a major surprise if they were not on the team bus given the speed with which both parties have expressed a desire to move on from the disciplinary measures invoked by Ferguson following their Boxing Day night out.
That offers the best chance of United bouncing back from their first league defeat since that 6-1 hammering by Manchester City in October. And the response from that disaster, eight wins from nine games, leaves Jones to suggest United do have what it takes to eventually clinch title number 20.
"Never for one second did I think we weren't good enough, " he said.
"The way we bounced back from the Manchester City game was unbelievable. Not everyone thought we would. But that is what Manchester United does best; prove people wrong.
"When the chips are down, you see who the real fighters are. That is the beauty of Manchester United."

After a shaky start to his Manchester United career, David de Gea has insisted that he wants to become a great at the club, but is first concentrating on beating Manchester City to the title this season.
The Spaniard has struggled to adapt to the Premier League at times in his maiden campaign, with his latest error at Old Trafford on New Year's Eve resulting in a shock victory for Blackburn, as well as once again raising questions over his goalkeeping credentials.
However, the 21-year-old has said that he is keen to 'make history' with the current champions following his 19 million pounds move from Atletico Madrid in the summer, and wants to start by pipping Roberto Mancini's side to the league summit.
De Gea told the club's official website: "As for me, longer term, I've every intention of spending many years here and I want to go on to become a great United keeper, I want to earn and deserve the respect I hope to engender. And I want to help United make history here.
"We've got to keep up the pressure to go on and win that – obviously Manchester City are causing us a few headaches so it's not going to be easy but we've got to keep that up, that's our principle objective," he explained.
"I do know about the second half syndrome. Last year we managed to peg Chelsea back a lot of points and went on to win, of course.
"I think generally as a club we have to maintain a hard line all season and keep our level high, and if the team can maintain that I think we can go on to do great things.
"We made a very good start as a team but it was clear then that it would be difficult to maintain that level. So after five or six games our form did dip a little bit but now we're working hard and we're progressing. We're playing well, we're keeping the ball and we're going in the right direction."

A raucous Newcastle atmosphere in this evening’s Barclays Premier League clash at the Sports Direct Arena won’t intimidate Manchester United, according to Dimitar Berbatov.
The Bulgarian, who’s netted six goals in the Reds’ last three fixtures, told MUTV that although playing at the Magpies’ noisy nest is always enjoyable, the home crowd’s support won’t have a bearing on tonight’s result.
“Okay, it's a bit more passionate there, a bit louder than other places, but I don't think it will affect us much,” he said. “We're professional players and we experience this every game. We go there as if it's any other game.”
Newcastle’s formidable start to the season has been checked somewhat in recent weeks, although the North East side remain in the top six going into tonight’s fixture. Alan Pardew’s men were as high as third in late November, though – a position that came as no surprise to Berbatov.
“I think Newcastle have a really good team and good players,” he said. “I don't think anybody should be surprised by their position. If you're high in the table then you deserve to be there.”

Wing wizard Nani has warned that the New Year's Eve defeat to Blackburn was a lesson the champions intend to learn from.
The Portugal international is determined that the Reds will bounce back - starting with the tricky encounter at Newcastle - and keep the pressure on Manchester City at the top of the table.
City's 3-0 win against Liverpool took them three points clear at the Barclays Premier League summit but United can close the gap again on Wednesday night.
"If we want to fight for the Premier League title, it's impossible to repeat a defeat like the one against Blackburn," he stated. "Things like that could decide the title at the end of the season. It was a negative day.
"But I think it represents a lesson for us and now we must not fail. It left a bitter taste in the dressing room. Now we have to bounce back against Newcastle. It won’t be easy but we are the champions and this squad is always out to win.
"United have enough pride to still go on and win the league – we cannot afford to fail."

Park has done nothing for 3 years now except run around he offers NO attacking thrat
Jones is not a CB he is actually quite poor there he needs to be played in the middle
And for **** sake everyone knows Berbatov and Rooney don't work as a combo

It's a shame Fergie wasnt this ****ing soft with Keano who was TWICE the player Rooney has been for United and the MAIN reason Fergie had all his success
As for Sunday let's be totally honest we are not WINNING that game our best hope is to get a draw and get them back to OT. If i see Carrick and Giggs Or park in a 2 mam midfield im not even gonna watch the game.

Despite all the hype Jones a **** in defence( No Lie Carrick is better) so postionally poor it is unreal he is much better CM and would like him to do what he did vs Spain
Hernandez is Offside WAY to much and just puts more pressure on our already **** midfield
Pogba has got the size and talent to boss De Jong Barry etc and with Jones would shield the defence very well
Park should be NOWHERE near the team he is ****ing dreadful now offers no attacking threat whatsoever
Sadly expect to see this
De Gea
Valencia Rio Jones Evra
Nani Carrick Giggs Park
Rooney
Hernandez
And expect us to be truly ABUSED

I wonder if Legend Killer realises Fergie moulded ANOTHER champions league winning team after Keane.
Where was Keane, when we had ****e like the 05 squad? He bottled it and left thinking he was greater than the club. How I laughed when Rooney & Ronaldo went on to be world beaters a few seasons after.

King Anton how dare you talk bad of United's greatest ever Midfielder and top 5 player ever.
If Not for Keane Fergie fails to win half the titles he won during the 90's and early 2000 FACT
If not for Keane DESTROYING a PRIME Zidane and carrying United despite knowing he won't make the final past Juventes they don't even play Bayern in the final FACT
The fact of the matter is Fergie OWES a LOT more to Keane than vice versa. Which makes the way he treated Keane at the end disgusting and than to make it worse we have to watch him bumsuck Rooney despite him being half the player keane was

No way are we going to get rid of Rooney after that trouble of keeping him and I do think there is some tension between him/SAF but hopefully that will die down soon and the football will be the main focus..
SAF has had players at the club who he had fractured relationships off the pitch before but still produced the goods on the pitch...

Happy United beat the bitters:D. 1st half apart from the first few minutes when City dominated possession we were in charge but in 2nd half we got complacent and it allowed them to score twice grr, the last couple of minutes I was so nervous.
Surprised about Scholesy the Ginger Prince coming out of retirement, great though and despite being rusty at times he soon got into the swing of things again. Pleased he will be around till the Summer where United can hopefully improve our Midfield.
Rooney once again dismissed speculation after the match and United have Liverpool next round at Anfield, how predictable;).
