OMG How in the **** does Green Bay give up a 21-3 lead?!? I am very disappointed in my team. *Burns Rodgers jersey that I don't have*
Aw well, meanwhile in my favorite college news, Iowa State is 25 in the Coaches Poll
Manning didn't do much wrong tonight really, the Pats were just a stronger team and we couldn't deal with their offense in the first half and then we made too many fumbles and mistakes. Didn't really expect a win though, least we put up a bit of a fight

Roy Mars III
11-10-2012, 07:36 PM
why do you always get terrible games
Because only the **** teams will give up a home game, don't know why theyre getting the Niners here again though, will probably be pretty one sided too. There have been a couple of good games here though, Saints-Chargers was quality

What a great advert
What a second half the comeback kid is having here, 24-0 down at half time back to 24-21 in just over a quarter and no incompletions :worship:
Now the Broncos are up 35-24, what an amazing comeback thanks to Manning and our D :worship:
Where you at Roy
- Manning 13 of 14 with 3 TD's in the second half
- Ties the record for biggest comeback on the road
- Ties the record for biggest comeback in MNF
- Only time a team has comeback from 24 points and won by double figures

LOL, My High School That I graduated from is 5-2 this year. We were an average team when I went to school. Minus my Freshman year. I never played on the team. But We're one Nation.
Vikings and Steelers also going to be playing in London now end of September, will try and get tickets to that it'll be a class game
How much are tickets over here?
Cheapest ones are about £40/50 iirc, you'll probably be pretty high up behind one of the endzones for that though, last time I went we paid £70 and got a pretty good view for that
trying to cripple me in these hard times
BBfanUSA
16-10-2012, 11:30 PM
It's a bargain. I don't know much about conversion rates but tickets are 250 bucks a seat for a good one here in america.
What even more ridiculous is how much people will wait for tickets sometimes. The wait list to get season tickets for Green Bay home games is years long almost. (Very Big and Loyal Fanbase)

american football, the soft man's rugby league
both are good, I have played rugby before many times before. There is more of an intellectual element to American football though.

There is a reason why we wear the helmets...without them alot more people were dying from head injuries or were getting paralyzed. Death from head injuries is a freak occurence now also Paralysis although it's happen about once or twice in the last 4 years or so. (One is walking again after physical rehab, the other guy is still wheelchair bound but is getting the feeling back in his feet)
And it's very common to see a player get a concussion in a game.
I do respect Rugby tho.
American Football is basically Chess Rugby minus the ban on throwing forward if you think about it.
Other than 7 vs 7 Rugby doesn't get a lot of attention when it should IMO.
both are good, I have played rugby before many times before. There is more of an intellectual element to American football though.
dont be silly, that intellectual that they high five and do a dance every time they make a tackle, oh yeh and the play stops, when a rugby league player makes a tackle he's gotta get up get onside and be prepered to tackle again.at the end of their sets of play they always do a long punt down field or a kick at the posts, on the last play in rugby league, theirs the option of kicking long downfield for territory, a 40/20 witch enables you to get another set of six tackles, a grubber kick in to the in goal to force a drop out, an up and under to put pressure on the fullback, a drop goal for 1 point or just basically run the ball and go for a try.

i am talking about plays and such. The best QBs for the NFL are genius's. Tom Brady has an IQ of 160. Rugby, you just hit people
hitting people is part of the defence, theirs also an attacking element to the game

yea, but football is about strategy. you have to be in perfect physical and mental health to play
the semi final to get in to the geand final, bradford are leading but st helens have the ball in their own half with time for one more play, the final hooter sounds as they play the ball, but the play must come to a halt before it's over
sorry for keeping going on about rugby league in your american football thread but it really needs promoting. sadly it as very little promotion in this country,
anyway here's that play
VjhE7DOvD-c
now that's drama
Rugby is much better to watch, just the whole pace of it and the way the players can have half an ear hanging off but still carry on
yea, but football is about strategy. you have to be in perfect physical and mental health to play
so is rugby league, so are most sports for that matter, it comes down to promotion of the game, which is why overpaid grown men who roll about on the floor and cheat to get players booked or sent off is the biggest sport in the world, because it gets so much media exposure, i'm talking about football or soccer

Update on Tom Brady please have been drifting in and out since NBA season started
Had a bit of a shaky start but the Pats have won 4 straight and are comfortably top of their division at 7-3, Brady is as good as ever and still the second best QB in the league

Okay I was just wondering.
So ESPN America gets Sunday Night Football (Al Micheals is amazing, Cris no so much), Monday Night Football (Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden are amazing)
If I could choose, I would have the super bowl commentary should be Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden (Whose's rumored to get the Saints Job in the offseason)
I hate FOX's main team (Buck and Aikman) and could care less about CBS' Don't even know them because I watch mainly NFC games which are on FOX.
(For non SNF/MNF/TNF, All AFC team games and AFC @ NFC Games are on CBS, All NFC Games and NFC at AFC games are on FOX)

Best Division
NFC West
NFC South
NFC North
AFC North
AFC South
AFC East
AFC West (Minus Broncos Of Course)
*Huge Gap*
NFC East
Probably say the AFC East is better than the West, SD, Oakland and KC have all been absolutely terrible this season
Was only a couple of years ago the NFC West was the worst division as well, great thing about the NFL is how much that can change

I'd Say Division Winners are all packed up except for NFC North (Whoever wins GB/CHI second game wins division I bet) and East (It's a dog race there)
and I fixed it, Thank you for pointing that out that I messed up my divisions. (Although Besides Pats, it's a horrifying mess in the east)

Another NFL death...this time it's Jerry Brown who was on the Dallas Cowboys (The ManU of American Football except they suck more) Practice Squad. :( Was riding in a car with a teammate when the car wrecked by itself, he died in it and no one else was involved.
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/dallas-cowboys-josh-brent-charged-intoxication-manslaughter-jerry-brown-dies-120812
Josh Brent who actually plays football for the Cowboys charged with intoxicated manslaughter, manslaughter is lower than murder in the US.
If it happened in my state he would be charged with Vehicular Homicide.

Also RGIII, Sprained his right knee in the 4th Q this weekend, He wanted to go back in but the team didn't want to risk it. Tests showed no torn ligaments. I bet he'll be back very soon in fact is questionable against Cleveland. Redskins' Backup is Rookie Kirk Cousins. Who finished the game and won it for them. Robert Griffin III is also a rookie.
Man this year is the year of the rookie QB. The Rookie Of The Year Battle is between RGIII, Luck, and Russell Wilson (Picked 78th by Seahawks in the 3rd Round). All Three Deserve it imo

And Let the speculation begin....NFL and Goodell (The Head Rulemaker bascially, He's called the Commisioner, he oversees the day to day operations. Like a President.) is thinking about expanding the playoffs to 14-16 teams. 8 Per Conference.
I don't know how they'll decide but I saw it in a sports bar/grill here in the states.
Also Overheard that they're thinking of eliminating Kickoffs...uh wait what?

Win and they help Chicago get into the playoffs :P
The Chicago Sun Times actually had on the front of it's newspaper in Green and Yellow
Back The Pack Today. This is funny given how Green Bay and Chicago hate each other as much as Cats and Dogs do.
Also if anyone is looking for Monday Night Football and wondering why it isn't on. There is none due to Xmas Eve. The game was actually played on Saturday between Lions and Falcons
Falcons won and basically locked up home field advantage in the NFC but Calvin "Megatron" Johnson did break the single season recieving yards record.

Well this week should be interesting in terms of seeding since there's only one more spot that's going to either the Vikings or the Bears.
AFC teams
1. Texans (Clinched AFC South)
2. Broncos (Clinched AFC West)
3. Patriots (Clinched AFC East)
4. Ravens (If Bengals Lose or Ravens Win, 4 will go to Ravens) (Leading AFC North)
-Wild Card-
5. Colts (Clinched WC) (2nd AFC South)
6. Bengals (Clinched Playoff Spot) (Will win AFC North if Ravens lose and Bengals Win) (2nd AFC North)
NFC Teams
1. Falcons (Clinched Home Field and NFC South)
2. Packers (Clinched NFC North)
3. 49ers (Clinch NFC West with Win or Seahawks Loss)
4. Redskins (Clinch with Win or Giants and Cowboys loss) (1st in NFC East)
-Wild Cards- (Top 2 teams record wise minus division winners)
5. Seahawks (Clinched Playoff Spot) (Win NFC West with Win and 49ers loss) (2nd NFC West)
6. Vikings (Clinch with Bears loss or Vikings Win) (2nd NFC North)
-In the Hunt-
7. Bears (Becomes WC with Win and Vikings Loss) (They've taken a long slide down recently from starting the season 7-1)
For any newbies to Pro American Football.
The teams are playing to get into the Super Bowl (Which is the equivalent of The Champs League Final) The Super Bowl will contain a member of the AFC and NFC. So in the first 3 weeks of the playoffs NFC teams will only play NFC Teams and AFC plays AFC only.
The first week is the wild card week which should be the 1st week of January. The Top 2 seeds in each conference get the week off and the 3rd seed takes on the 6th and 4th faces the 5th. This will take place on Saturday and Sunday with two games on both days.
Then the Divisional Round Starts. Usually the higher numbered seed will go up against the top seed and 2nd will take the other. (IE 6 will face 1 and 5 will play 2 if 6 and 5 make it to the next round) These take place the 2nd weekend of January
Then the conference championships are played. Originally the NFL was two leagues, The NFL (Now NFC) and AFL (Now AFL) this would be where their seasons would end. Until they merged in the Late 50s to early 60s. Played on the third weekend of january.
Then they take a week off so players can get rested for the Super Bowl. (There's the Pro Bowl where a bunch of players of the already eliminated teams play a exhibition game in Hawaii but NO ONE CARES, I'm serious.)
Then usually the first weekend of Feb is the big game.
Also seeding is very important. Whoever has the lower numbered seed gets to host the playoff game.
Except the Super Bowl which is played on Neutral Turf. (Where a super bowl is played is decided in Advance by a few years, usually played in a Domed Stadium or a stadium located in the Deep South where it's expected to be warm. But I think 2014 or 15's will be played in New York's Meadowlands Stadium and it's expected to be cold that day) There's usually a halftime show by a famous artist and it's always broadcasted. For 2013 it's Beyonce. (In Years' Past it's been Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty.)

The last week is happening right now.
Also NFC playoff situations right now that could affect who goes in (Sorry I forgot these, I figured that they would not make it until now :P)
Cowboys are in via WildCard with a Win and a Giants, Bears, and Vikings Loss. Or Beat Redskins meaning they're getting in via Divisional Win
AFC Playoff
None that affects who makes it. tho
Giants are in with a Bears and Vikings loss and a win
Vikings can get in on a wildcard if Giants and Cowboys lose and Vikings win.

Huh, Green Bay and Patriots are still in it and the Super Bowl is in New Orleans this year.
Super Bowl 36 had Packers and Patriots with Favre and Bledsoe in New Orleans. Now both teams have excellent QBs again, Rodgers and Brady. They still haven't had a shootout between each other yet. (Remember in 2010 Aaron Rodgers sat out their game with a concussion. Matt Flynn took over and gave Patriots a run for their money.)
