i followed the NFL last year but never really followed a team but without much persuading Caitlin has recommenced the Ravens.. so the Ravens it is
That's a bad idea, a very bad idea. :joker: I don't think they'll even get to defend their title next year.
They lost a bunch of players to other teams and retirement and they spent too much money on a Quarterback that doesn't deserve it.
Drew.
05-09-2013, 09:39 PM
i am doing my research on google as we speak, i feel Caitlin has tried to trick me into following the wrong team

Hopefully Manning Kicks ass, I have him starting on my fantasy team.

Week 2 happening right now, 1 PM games are wrapping up right now,
49ers and Seahawks are the night cap for Sunday and The Manning Bros play against each other in a 4:30 PM game.
Also if you get a chance Mike Peiera is a must follow on Twitter. He's a former head of officiating for the NFL and FOX hired him to give his thoughts on calls by Refs. Really insightful. He has a control room in LA and whenever a game has a controversial call or a play under review, he's called up. (He has access to all of the NFL on FOX games.)

Oh shoot, you're right, I was just thinking it was them because usually it's the Pats, Jags, Bucs, Etc. that are keep going over there.
Attendance should be a sell out crowd for the 1st Wembley game at least, Over 500,000 people attended the block party yesterday for the game today.
I do have the game in my area by the way. I live in a Market where there's basically a hotbed of teams supported from the Midwest so it's showing on CBS

The Broncos luck out by having the easiest schedule of any team in the league. Manning with be out of the game in the 2nd quarter next week when Denver scores 40 pts against the Jags next week. I'll join the Manning team when he beats an over average defense instead of the crappy ones he has been running over lately.
The Saints are were it is at, Denver is over rated

Yeah agree, the only way that London will get a NFL team is if Europa is revived. Which won't be happening soon. I don't mind having games in London though, Surprised they haven't decided to place a game in Germany since there's a noticeable American Population (Due to it having a ton of airbases for miltary reasons) and it's has a decent following overthere.
Toronto is way more likely, I can see Buffalo just moving over there if they really want to since it's just across the border.

Well my prediction for a Texans Seahawks super bowl has gone horribly wrong. At my Packers are beating the Ravens
Broncos-Jags going to be a massacre later, the Jags +26.5 on the spread
how sure are you about this on the Scale of a 50p - £10 bet?
In the Drunk Tank
13-10-2013, 07:37 PM
About £20, Jags have been absolutely terrible and the Broncos have got a ridiculous offense this year
Better bet is Denver to score over 39.5 points though, scored over 50 points last two weeks
Broncos by 11-20 points - 7/2
Cardinals +10 - 10/11
about 15/2, that will do nicely.

Apparently Peterson actually only found out about his son a few months ago, he had been planning a trip to go visit him but then this happened and last night was the first time he'd seen him :/
so he didn't know he had a son?

Yeah the man who has the WORST OFFENSIVE line in NFL history 5-1
Stay mad GOATS WILL ALWAYS GOAT and CHOKER WILL ALWAYS CHOKE
You realise that before tonight he only had 7 TD passes for the season - that's as many as Manning threw in week 1. Even with tonight he only threw that one in the last second and also threw another pick, he's got one of the worst passer ratings in the NFL, you cannot twist this one I'm afraid

Nah, he does have one son who he's brought up but he wasn't aware he also had this kid until a few months back apparently when the mother got in contact with him, and then in the hospital was the first time he'd seen him

but also strange. why did he never visit him sooner? if i found out i had another child, i'd want to meet them straight away... something more is going on here imo

LOL Monday Night this week is Vikings and Giants. Combined record is 1-10.
Jags may have a chance at winning a game too, they're playing Oakland and it's a west coast team playing a 1:00 PM game and Oakland isn't that good.
Something I have wondered is if Fulham's owner thinks he made the right decision in buying the majority stake of the Jags.

In the Drunk Tank
24-10-2013, 07:05 PM
Megatron is easily the best WR in the league imo, nearest to him is probably AJ Green, and I wouldn't put Cruz above loads of people like Bryant, Welker etc.
Giants just got a scrappy win against the Vikes who are almost as bad but they are still gonna have a terrible season
Jemal
24-10-2013, 07:15 PM
Lol Wez Welker is good but overrated. I would take Cruz over him any day of the week.
Cruz just gives you that spark and versatility. He can do any type of route in any type of situation. Along with his legendary Salsa celebration no1 can chat to him.
Once the combo of Eli and Vic start to fire, no-one in the nfl will be able to stop us, just like two years ago.
In the Drunk Tank
24-10-2013, 07:22 PM
Don't think he's overrated at all, he's been the best slot receiver in the league the last few seasons, helps that he's played under amazing QBs but still. Wouldn't pick him as the best WR though, would still say that goes to Megatron or Green, but Broncos have easily got the best set of WRs
If the Giants win more than 5 games this season I'll be amazed

Megatron is for sure the best receiver in the league right now at least, and I do think Cruz is a good WR, but not underrated or else he would've been laying down the law and Giants wouldn't be 1-6.
Oh and Peyton sat out contact plays in practice yesterday. Due to a tweaked ankle he got from the Colts game.
This week starts tonight. But its a meh game tonight Bucs against Panthers. All the Thursday night games have been meh this year.
Sunday night is kinda meh too, Vikings @ Packers. The night games this week are really lameducks (Monday night is Rams @ Seahawks)

We're not a one man team llol. If we were talking about Eli then i would kinda understand but Cruz of course is a key player for the giants but if he doesn't get feeded he won't play well. So i think your being abit harsh.

I wasn't being harsh, I'm just saying he might not be underrated. If the ball isn't being thrown your way and no results are coming thru it means they're blocking him properly or he isn't catching the ball.

Chicago beat Green Bay last night. The biggest news to come out of the game was that Aaron Rodgers on the first drive hurt his left Shoulder (Non Throwing) and sat the rest of the game out. Word is it's a collarbone fracture.
Seneca Wallace, who replaced him, kinda irked me in the game last night, I mean his first throw was a INT. Matt Flynn (Who played for Green Bay and was behind Aaron on the depth chart for two or three years, when his contract year was up he left.) is a free agent again I hear. If Aaron has to sit out the rest of the season I really hope Green Bay puts Aaron on the Injured Reserve and picks up Matt Flynn for the rest of the season
