Lyon wanted Liverpool out, end of the day we would do the same if it ment knocking out AC Milan or Barcelona.. (Liverpool are above them though)

Liverpool just having a bad season due to problems off the pitch, this will be sorted and by next season everything will be back to normal with Liverpool beating all.

First bit is true.

I wanted liverpool to stay in as i prefer english teams to do well even if you won it you would gloat like **** but rather lieverpool than an italian team..

Second bit isn't. You just have lack of depth (like us last season) its as simple as that.

I think you will finish 4th place and kinda hope so as i hate tottenham and city just as much city more atm city my most hated team, and i just think both would fail in champions league...

YOu think N'gog looks a very promising player for the future, showing he is good back up for torres.

They wont get champions league money.

They are in bad debt now need of a new stadium, and they are saying if liverpool are outside the top 5 or 6..

And if someone put in a 65 - 75mil offer for torres they may have to sell him for money to pay off debt.

Desperate need of cash injection.

Rafa is making changes due to lack of funds and these take time to mature into results, Rafa is the man with the plan and is the only man for the job.. He loves the club and we must have faith during these changes, much has been forced upon and he has had alot to deal.

Much is going on behind closed doors which should give Rafa the money to give Liverpool that extra depth at the back and midfield, it's about the right team players and not big names..

Next season will see Liverpool back on top.

Arsenal need that European Cup more than ever, that cup is worth 10 Prem titles, 20 FA Cups, 50 League Cups.. He wins that and could go down as one of the greats, and he wants that European Cup before he leaves Arsenal.

I disagree, lets match them up;

Almunia/Van der sar - Van der sar probably shaves it

Sagna/Neville - Sagna all day

Ferdinand/Gallas - Ferdinand hasn't looked all that great tbh, whilst Gallas is finally showing his old Chelsea form. Gallas for me

Vidic/Vermaelen - Vidic but TV isn't THAT far behind and hes only played half a season

Evra/Clichy - Evra but only just

Giggs/Arshavin - Arshavin every single day of the week

Carrick/Fabregas - Fabregas easily

Fletcher/Song - Song easily, Fletcher is playing well but Song is better

Valencia/Walcott - I would take Walcott as hes faster and probably a better finisher but hasnt had much playing time cos of injury

Van Persie/Berbatov - Van Persie

Rooney/Eduardo - Rooney obviously but Eduardo is probably still our best finisher and needs to get going again

Some other match ups-

Scholes/Nasri - Nasri easy

Denilson/Anderson - Anderson has looked average tbh, hes strong but Denilson has improved loads. Denilson shades it

Rosicky/Nani - Rozza all day, Nani is rubbish

Bendtner/Owen - Bendtner now as hes stronger and gives us something different. Owen is past it.

May have left out a few, either way, apart from Defence, our midfield and attack ***** all over Utds.

Nasri is world class scholes is very much past it.

And yea he has great potential to be one of the best if he hadnt have broken his leg he would be doing well by now.

and up until about 4 matches ago valencia had been so average.

Fabregas - doesn't want to leave.

FABREGAS 'SO HAPPY' AT ARSENAL

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has reiterated his commitment to the Gunners, saying: "I don't want to fail here."

Outgoing Barcelona president Joan Laporta has hinted a deal is already in place to sign Fabregas next summer.

But the 22-year-old, whose side host Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League on Sunday, insisted earlier this week that he would not be distracted by such talk.

He has again stressed that stance, vowing to remain at the Emirates Stadium to repay the faith shown in him by Arsene Wenger and to be successful with the north London club.

"I am so happy here," he told the Daily Mail. "And I want to continue to be part of what is happening here. Definitely.

"If not I would have left when I had the opportunity, three years ago, two years ago or last year.

"I believe in this team and I feel we can achieve things. The boss believes in us more than anyone, and I feel I am part of it. He makes me see that as well. And I don't want to fail here."

Fabregas likened his situation to that of Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard, who appeared on the verge of joining Chelsea four years ago but opted to remain at Anfield.

"I think you have to be grateful to those who have helped you," the Spain midfielder continued.

"When Steven Gerrard had the opportunity to go somewhere else he chose to stay with the club of his life, and I don't think he will ever regret that.

"He made a decision to stay and he has to believe that it was the right one."

Fabregas, meanwhile, is relishing his position as a senior figure in the Arsenal set-up and feels he has grown into the role of captain.

"I don't feel like a normal 22-year-old," he said. "This is my seventh season at the club and my sixth season in the first team.

"In the case of most 22-year-olds, a bad game would be put down to their age. But if I have a bad game, or Arsenal lose, I know I am the first to blame.

"But I like that. I like the responsibility and the pressure. I don't want to be your average 22-year-old.

"I was only 21 when I was asked to captain this club. I had my doubts about whether I could do it at the time. But now I feel very comfortable being captain. It's not even something I think about."

Anelka sale paid for Arsenal training ground - and Henry

Chelsea ace Nicolas Anelka's move from Arsenal to Real Madrid paid for the club's famous academy.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was amazed by the club's ancient training facilities when he first arrived.

Bob Wilson, the Gunners' legendary 1971 Double-winning keeper, explained to The Sun: "I was sitting in an office at the old training ground we used to lease when in walked Arsene.

"I remember him saying 'I do not understand. This is Arsenal? It cannot be Arsenal'.

"First in his sights was a new training ground, purpose-built and paid for in an ingenious way. He bought Anelka from Paris St Germain for £300,000 and sold him to Real Madrid for £23million.

"From that, £12m created the country's best football training facility.

"And with the spare £11m he went out and bought another young French player called Thierry Henry. Some business, some brain."

Man Utd, Arsenal target Chamakh: I could make Premier League move

Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has again declared he wants to play in the Premiership.

The 25-year-old's current contract with the French outfit expires in the summer, although he has been offered fresh terms to stay.

But the Morocco international, who has previously been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal, Sunderland and West Ham, is in no rush to make a decision.

While he could move on as a free agent in the summer, he also does not want to penalise the club where he received his footballing education.

He told L'Equipe: "My future? I don't know. It is up to me.

"At the club, the door is open. When I make my decision, I will reply yes or no. I am thinking about it at present.

"I just want to achieve a great season with Bordeaux, maybe (then) to sign (for a club) in the Premier League.

"However it would be fine (moving in January for a fee) so everyone could take advantage of the transfer."

Arsenal hot up £15m link with Germany's wizard of Özil
As the young Werder Bremen playmaker continues to light up the Bundesliga, it's no wonder Arsene Wenger is on the prowl.

According to Mesut Özil's agent, Arsenal have made an enquiry about the young German international. And on his current form, it's not hard to see why.

The 21 year-old has blossomed this year at Werder Bremen and last weekend's 6-0 demolition of Freiburg, in which he set up four goals and scored one himself, that confirmed Özil's status as the Bundesliga's best player this season.

It is only 18 months sinced Schalke shipped the want-away "greedy" playmaker out to their rivals for £4.3m. But now Bremen are rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of a bidding war breaking out over the diminutive attacking midfielder.

YOBO KEEPS COOL IN MERSEY BOYS BATTLE

There may be serious doom and gloom on Merseyside about the state of football in the area but Everton defender Joseph Yobo says he can keep it all in perspective.

Liverpool were dumped out of the Champions League during the week and Everton's season continues to go from bad to worse after losing 3-2 to Hull City on Wednesday. But Toffees defender Yobo can see the bigger picture following his brother's horror kidnap last year.

Armed gunmen in Nigeria swooped on his younger brother Norum and held him for 12 days.

Yobo feared that Norum was dead so is now just relieved to have him alive and well.

And ahead of today's clash with Liverpool, that is earmarked as crucial for both clubs, Yobo claims that an experience like that helps keep the 90 minutes at Goodison Park in perspective.

He said: "At the end of the day it is just a game.

"What happened to my brother was a bad experience for me.

"It is not nice what is happening in Nigeria."

Jamie Carragher MOTM. He deserved it but I would have liked Dirk Kuyt or Pepe Reina to be it. Kuyt puts 110% into every game and today he played well and scored a goal, where as Reina did really well today. If he wasnt playing then we would've lost that game.

Means fk all if you don't win, football is a bitch at times.

Chelsea came 2nd and runners up in champions league final.. So close but ment nothing without winning.

Who are Everton playing next?

Everton played well, and probably deserved a goal, but Liverpool needed this win and I'm glad they did. Reina was my MOTM, but Mascherano played well also. Gerrard seemed off form, and N'gog didn't play good.

Quite a fun game to watch though, a good rivalry and quite fast paced action from Everton kept liverpool on their toes.

and reading draw liverpool. < You realise if liverpool lose to reading i will rip the piss for the next year.

Dissapointing that ref for the Arsenal chelsea game. We had a perfect goal and its dissallowed because eduardo fouled cech yet he never touched him, then vela went down in the box and it should have been a penalty!

Ridiculously ****.

Yeah, I watched the highlights. Zlatan is playing well. And Diarra getting a red (2 yellows) srewed real as well. Its funny how Real, with all that money spent, they might end up second as usual. LOl.
