A great season this has been.
The Race for 3rd and 4th between the London Clubs has been more interesting then the whole City and United thing has been this season :idc:

I will be glad when this season's over, short break from football then the u21's
transfer/manager news over the summer is probably even more exciting then the football itself

Has been a good season, if you're a United fan.
That said, be glad to see the back of this 'effin thing we call a midfield.
Edit: Just remembered, has been fantastic also that no Spanish team made it into the Champions League final.

Drew, don't make me cry. Straight swap... Wilshere for Cleverley?
Also, Jose in legendary form at his press conference today.
Mourinho rounds on Spain's media—"Perhaps I didn't do enough but there are La Liga records that are mine and no one can take them from me"
Mourinho twists the knife into Casillas—"My biggest regret of the last 3 years? I regret that I did not go out and sign Diego López earlier"
Mourinho on infighting—"Problems manifest when certain people believe they are bigger than [the coach]…I have no problems with team players"
Mourinho—"The 3 Champions League semi finals I took Madrid to cannot be called easy considering 18 prior coaches in 21 years reached only 5"
Mourinho slips into the third person—"5 [Champions League] semi finals in 21 years. The Mourinho you label a failure managed 3 in 3 years!"
Mourinho on his title win—"This Barcelona side is the best team of the last 20-30 years and that gives even more credit to what I achieved"
Mourinho turns to one of the reporters in the room, says "Oh you want a piece of paper too?" then distributes his sheet of achievements out.
Mourinho to Madrid-leaning journalists—"You want to forget my title win? Well 20 years without a European Cup win can't be forgotten either"
Casillas one. :joker:
Drew.
03-05-2013, 04:03 PM
poor Mourinho, his press conferences must be entertaining though.. he only gets asked 1 or 2 football related questions during his pre match conferences.. the rest are just media trying to put him down. Come back to England Mourinho

He has scored 18 league goals this season and is still young, he could easily force himself into the starting line up of most of the top sides in this league
Depends what they value him at though, probably £20m+ and I'd be surprised if anyone went that high
King Gizzard
03-05-2013, 05:44 PM
the club won't let him go for anything less than 30m, understandable when we don't need or want to sell him and I think he will stay one more year so he has guarenteed games going into the world cup

It is good giving younger players a chance, but is following the same strategy again a risk? Well it worked for United, but it is different at a club like Villa in terms of resources available.
What I mean is a mixture of youth/experience!
yeah i agree with you on experience is overrated, i'd rather have younger players who are hungry to win something for the first time then laid back experienced players who have done it all before recently

Not particularly when these players will have the experience of this season to go on (if we stay up), and now that we're finally playing together in a style where we're actually winning/holding onto games playing good football I don't think it'll be such the struggle it was this season
I can only see us replacing the likes of Bent with more lower league footballers blended in with another couple from Holland or something

Young hate is seriously old now. Not as bad as L.K's agenda at least. Guy was played in all of our big games for a reason and surprise surprise...he actually done a job im them. He played a great role in the wins at Eastlands and the bridge. One of the main reasons Evra has been great again is due to Young infront of him. Nani remains to have the worst performance by one of our wingers this season yet he is bumlicked non stop. People are spoiled off this Youtube highlights stepover **** where they see Some guy from Brazil skip past 6 guys and it's suddenly "OMG, he is so amaze".
Before you complain about his wages. Any winger significantly better than him will cost alot more in transfer fee and either similar or more wages.

Amazing in the home game against City where he did sweet F.A. going forward and failed to help Evra.
I was pleased when he signed, didn't understand some United fans questioning it, although I admit now I was entirely wrong. They were right. One more season he'll probably get and if utter sh-ite then sold. His two seasons so far have been average at best.
Lucas Moura, whilst the price tag was a decent amount more, although we were willing to pay a fair amount, is on way less wages than him. And let's be fair, Young isn't fit to clean his boots.
And Woy considers him England's best winger. Give me a break.
Luckily for him, all our wingers have been shocking this season.

Yeah. Choose the one big game where the whole team went to **** lol. Would still play him in everyone of our big away games next season and I hope Fergie does too tbh.
For him it's just a case of avoiding injury as soon as he looks half decent.

United should definitely try for one of Strootman/Matic/Gundogan/Wanyama or even Cabaye when it comes to realistic CM targets.
Please let this be the Summer where SAF strengthens our weakest area if he wants the team to improve rather than be stubborn and ignore it!

It's simple. If he wants to conquer Europe again before retiring it has to be improved. If we rely on Anderson and Cleverley again, then god help us.

30m for Moura means there is close to no chance we slash 25m on RVP and we sign Kagawa. Would take Robin and Kag over Moura in a second.

03-05-2013, 06:21 PM
SAF could be bluffing when he says he wants to sign one or two players.
I think Nani, Anderson, Scholes (retire), Bebe, Macheda, Fletcher (retire) and possibly Lindegaard will leave with Buttner or a few young lads going on loan or some being moved on.

We could afford both. To rely on these set of wingers, well Nani will leave I imagine, seems a bit risky. Would leave Valencia and Young as the only, experienced, out and out wingers.

not really sure who I want promoted of the two... Watford have the "when I was 8 and properly obsessed with football" vote when they were around the Prem, whereas Hull seem better... hmm...
*just hopes Forest hold off Leicester for the playoffs; wants them in most*
Drew.

Watford 0-1 Leeds
BBC Sport's Chris Osborne at Vicarage Road: "Very bizarre scenes here. The Watford fans were celebrating for no apparent reason - somebody must have thought Hull had scored. And just when they realised they had it wrong, debutant keeper Jack Bonham gets in a muddle with Joel Ekstrand to allow Dominic Poleon to roll into an empty net."

Always hard for the 3rd place team in the playoffs, especially when it happens like that, didn't fancy our chances that much last year and we had a stronger squad in what was a slightly less competitive league and playoffs. I fancy Brighton for it
