However I am fuming at Fergie. Firstly stop playing Rooney in midfield/as our number 10 because he cant control nor pass the ****ing ball. The fact he is playing in front of Shinji makes me fume even more. Bench him or play him up top SIMPLE

And why the **** did he sub our best player in Shinji??? Made zero sense

Hillsborough campaigner Anne Williams has died after a battle with cancer. The 60-year-old, whose 15-year-old son Kevin died in the 1989 football tragedy, was one of the loudest voices during the fight for justice.

It was her campaign to get her son's inquest verdict of accidental death overturned that is credited with leading to fresh hearings for all 96 supporters who died.

Such a shame. Never fully got the truth she wanted and deserved. R.I.P.

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has admitted that reported comments claiming his future lay away from the Spanish club were accurate but denied he was "sad or unhappy" at the Bernabeu.

"I can confirm that, when I was asked if I would be here next season, I said, 'I don't think so," said Mourinho. "Normally, when you get to these situations, there are problems between the club and the coach but here that is not the case because we get on.

"The best thing for us right now is to beat Betis this weekend, get to the Champions League final and win the Copa del Rey final, and then after that we can discuss what is best for everyone."

Anyone who thinks he has contrubuted more then Raf shows they don't watch th game TBH not only has he been an absolute beast defensivly he has been our main attacking threat most games lol.

TBF the Evans case is a harder case to make due to his latest injuries but the fans better not forget how immense he has been for us with Vidic out. Outplayed Rio on a contstant basis and with Rio getting older i hope to see Evans playing the big games next year with Vidic

Before Vidic returned i would have made a case for De Gea ahead of RVP too but has had nowt to do see Vida came back

As for the ones nominated this is the order they should finish

1. Carrick

2. Suraez
3. RVP
4. Mata
5.Hazard

Is RVP a better player then Suraez??f course he is. But with out that **** Liverpool would be 13-14 at best while without RVP we are still challenging for the title at worst number 2 in the league

think thats just proved how Suarez has been better than RVP this season.

A player of the season surely makes his team good or at least over achieves? Check the previous winners lol

Suarez has done neither.

previous winners have stood out from the rest of the players they were up against (not sure if Giggs did) i dont think 1 player in particular has stood out from the rest this season, Suarez, RVP, Mata and Bale have all been class.. but as an individual Suarez pips it for me.. top scorer and been great to watch even when hes not scoring.

Took over the dregs of Houlliers team, and turned it around while you lot had already spent £30m on Ferdinand, £27m on Rooney etc, and he made us competitive, despite only spending £15m each season. Don't forget Arsenal were the invincibles, and you and Chelsea were spending loads on top players at that time.

People will try to rewrite history in a way that they never do for any other manager, but the job Rafa did was unquestionably good. Only people who believe the media narrative buy into this Rafa was a clown nonsense. How many managers have won the CL with players like Traore and Biscan?

You want to know why he's a hero? Because of footballing reasons. He spotted what H&G really were before anyone else and he called them out. The media say he got too involved in the politics at the club, but he was fighting for the club, not against it. H&G were the cancer, not Rafa.

Think what you like of Benitez, but he was never the problem. He made some transfer mistakes in his last year, and the team wasn't great, but Fergies first few years were up and down, and he didn't have a cl and fa cup to show for it.

To be fair, we also bought Liam Miller and David Bellion around that time. Rooney was the only big signing. Rio came two years previous so wouldn't really count him. We had a sh-it team back then.

I agree. Every manager has had their good/bad signings, you can scout someone a lot or take an interest but you never know how the player will peform until you see them play.

Some players unfortunately struggle to live up to the hype, where as some do well and maintain it unless there is a decline in form, but it depends on the mentality they have and looking after themselves.

That was my point - you had a team already packed out with quality, and Rafa was criticised for the fact that we weren't winning everything. For every Liam Miller and Bellion you had, we had a Josemi, a Biscan or a Traore.

Packed with quality is not how a lot of United fans would of deemed the side back then xD. Ronaldo was still a raw talent. Silvestre at centre back. Two useless keepers in Howard and Carroll. Two widely deemed, harshly imo, flops in Djemba - Djemba (so good they named him twice) and Kleberson. We had lot's of issues back then. We were miles from Mourinho's Chelsea. Also just remembered Kieran Richardson. Played him at flippin' left back sometimes.

And I wouldn't really deem coming back luck, unless you gain some kind of advantage which shouldn't of been (offside goal or a penalty that wasn't for example).
Anywho, what I was referring to was the 'ghost goal', Luis Garcia in the semi final. And that penalty shoot out in the final was so poorly reffed. Dudek was way infront of his line before the ball had even been taken. Was a total joke.

Goal, smallest man on the pitch. SMH.

One of the greatest sides I've ever witnessed personally. How Bayern dominated that final but Inter had a marvellous attack. Destroying a prime Barca at home then holding out with 10 men thanks to that tw@t Busquets.

Incredible centre back partnership of Lucio and Samuel also.

I just don't know where we got lucky in our run? We destroyed Leverkusen, should have been 3/4 up against Juve in the first leg, but completely controlled the away leg, and the Chelsea game was just a couple of tense/nervous occasions. We didn't get luck along the way. Everything we got that year, we absolutely earned.

Even the so-called "ghost goal", that the media/idiots love to go on about is a bit disingenuous, as the ref had said if it hadn't have been a goal then his only option was to award us a penalty and send Cech off for the foul on Baros.

Ironic I mention Garcia's goal just before Reina's fumble.

I agree and I am bias because Inter have been my favourite Italian team since the Zanetti/Ronaldo/Vieri/Crespo/Materrazi days etc:D.

Jesus.

Goal, smallest man on the pitch. SMH.

Oscar is 5'11, and is nowhere near the smallest man on the pitch.

Still bad defending though.

They are on a decline due to finances:(.

Have Chelsea finally turned up vs Liverpool btw? The Kop seem to be a bogey side for them.

Neither side is amazing. Chelsea have just grabbed a goal.

You could both have a point there. However, they'd of won more under Mourinho thus meaning more funds. But, probably yeah, the financial clout still wouldn't of been enough. Doesn't help with money grabbers like Sneijder.

I agree and no-one has criticised Lampard for how he treated AVB when it was publically outed in the papers.

The players have too much power there and the revolving door of Managers does not help either.

Roman will smugly point to the fact they've still won trophies. However, I don't look at it that way personally.

I still find the Ranieri sacking really unfair. Roman will point to the glory he got with Jose but, Ranieri with a bunch of new players that needed time to gel got them to second spot in the league. Second behind a team that finished unbeaten. And the semi-finals of the Champions League when I believe they had some injury problems. Remember third choice keeper (think he was third choice at that time) Ambrosio playing.

And sacking Ancelotti the day after he sees United win a record 19th title due to longevity.

Ancelotti is probably the biggest travesty

..and probably the next Madrid manager if Jose leaves

The way they treated Carlo was appaling and I didn't like the way they turned on AVB either, when some of their own players were up to no good and had a scapegoat because their egos got out of control.

Most Liverpool players want Andy Carroll sold, but does anyone think they should give him a second chance? He is very physical and look at his United performance, so they could do with a different style up front to compliment Suarez (if he stays), more firepower is needed for them too of course.

Locke.

So poor, most of them look like they don't give a ****. Even at his lowest last season Henderson didn't play this crap.

Sturridge is needed right now.

Yeah, I was thinking about him. All of them have been rather harsh sackings when you look at it. Avram Grant even. I know he was only interim but he did a good job. Took over a team that aren't his players and gets them to second and loses a Champions League final on penalties.

Roman should just take charge.

I heard from a reporter ages back the only manager he'd give full control to is Pep Guardiola. Laughable.

I'd give him a chance personally. Only because of that ridiculous amount spent on him. With Brenton's way of player though, big Andy could be on his way.

Yes them two too. Chelsea are a joke and Roman Abramovich is such an impatient man trying to get his input in the footballing decisions.

Roman is now a father for the seventh time, his wife is pretty too I must add judging by the pictures in the paper;).

I do hope that CR7 comes back to United before he retires, he was adored at United and he was so happy there more than he is at Madrid I think now he has seen that it is not all a bed of roses there.

When I read of what he does for charity etc it does make me think how sometimes he is unfairly judged as a person, if people dislike him as a footballer then fair enough but in interviews I have seen etc he seems nice enough to me.

Yeah, totally different off the pitch. I still think his ego came from all the people saying he was a one trick pony and Fergie should get rid. Papers deeming a 19 year old (18 when we signed him but soon turned 19) a flop. :joker:

And of course the World Cup fiasco.

Also just checked out Roman's wife, not half bad.

Nobody can compare to Irina when it comes to Russian women though, for me.

Big picture.
