These are not massive when you consider ANdy Carroll went for 35 mill, Jordan Henderson went for 20 odd etc. We sell our players for far less than we could get for them if we held out more often.

It hasn't been any more relevant than usual really...It's always been important outside England.

Teams not good enough to get past the CL group stage and to finish top 4/3 whatever should not be rewarded with another chance to get into the CL by winning a competition originally meant for worse teams than them. Imagine if it comes against a Team that overachieved getting to Europa and then the Final just to face a CL club which is making a **** load more revenue and paying their players alot more wages...generally are in a different world to them. Destroys the Europa league to me.
