TICKETS for TAKE THAT’s new Beautiful World tour sold out in record time yesterday — sending phone systems into meltdown.

All 22 dates were fully booked between 9am and 11am as credit card lines jammed and Ticketmaster’s website crashed.

Directory inquiry service 118 118 was swamped by 25,000 callers looking for numbers.

Another six gigs were added and they too were all gone by noon — a total of 370,000 tickets in three hours.

MARK OWEN, in Japan with the rest of the re-formed ’90s boy band, said: “It is surreal.”
