Clumsy housemates spoil the moment for Shilpa and Jermaine...
Dazzling foreign imports, Shilpa and Jermaine, have often resembled lost tourists in Trafalgar Square among the tough British beef on parade in the House -and it's this connection that has brought them closer.
From day one the Bollywood star and the Jackson sibling hit it off, with Jermaine frequently on hand to mop up Shilpa's tears. But as the other housemates unravel, the exotic duo are finding it increasingly difficult to spend quality gossiping time together.

Shilpa is still reeling from her latest brush with Jackiey's sharp tongue, which was unleashed yet again during an argument over the shopping list, and she turned to Jermaine for advice.
So far the elegant actress has refused to be drawn into a shouting match, but the stress is taking its toll as she admitted: "I don't know what I'm doing here. Some things are just not my scene."
Jermaine took a deep breath and looked pensive, as if he was seeking inspiration to distill all the House's problems into one catchy musical cliché.
He managed it, too.
"Everybody's got it," he said. "Everybody's got the blues."
He leant towards Shilpa and she looked into his kind eyes as he cleared his throat to say something momentous: "You know what..."
Just then Leo barged in to the bedroom with all the timing of a second-hand Albanian wristwatch, chirping: "Can I sit here with you guys?"
The moment evaporated in an instant and the normally mild-mannered Jermaine swore (almost), exclaiming forlornly: "Dod Gammit!"
"Tell me some Indian stories." persisted Leo

i'm kind of glad Leo came in and cut it short. I don't want her to start bitching about her HMs no matter how bitchy they are to her. They are being portrayed as the gossipers and two faced gits, and Shilpa so far has been graceful, I don't want it to be any other way.

We'd hate anything to stand in the way of a good love story.
Disapproving parents, for example. Or bad breath. Or in the case of Dirk and Shilpa, grey hair.
The Montana man has expressed more than a passing interest in the Bollywood beauty. And while in the bathroom with Cleo this morning, Shilpa revealed she had feelings for The Face too. But sadly for us, the twain may never meet because Shilpa's noticed that Dirk, to put it politely, has a few more rings round his tree than her.

Talking about the blokes, Cleo was stuck for words to describe Dirk. "He's so..."
"... sexy?" suggested Shilpa.
"... He's so relaxing, so funny... you think he's SEXY?!" said Cleo, suddenly realising what Shilpa has let slip.
"I think he's very sexy," confessed the actress.
"Then what's wrong with you then?" Cleo quizzed her.
"He's sexy and old," replied Shilpa.
Cleo was incredulous. "Maybe he's got a few more years than you, but that doesn't make him old. I know people who are younger than him who are really old."
"I agree," nodded Shilpa, amazingly understanding what Cleo was getting at.
"You're full-on fussy," chided Cleo, the old romantic. "He makes you laugh, he's gentlemanly. What's missing?"
"Age," deadpanned Shilpa.
"Oh no, that's terrible," stuttered Cleo. "Oh... oh... no you can't!"
But as she shoved her hair into shower cap, Shilpa wasn't budging. "He's sweet, I agree." And he's confessed a love of chopping wood and mountain air. How can you resist, Shilpa?
"Don't judge," scolded Cleo. "You can't be like that. I can't believe how harsh you are."

Thanks for posting the article thingy Leona; to be honest, I can understand Shilpa completely – she probably wants someone she can settle down with, even if she does find Dirk sexy and he obviously likes her, it’s only harmless and lighthearted IMO. Not to mention their lifestyles are pretty different.
It’s still sweet to see the two getting on so well in the BB house at the moment though.

I am eageraly awaiting Metro. I know she will have much scope for performance and not the usuall dancing and romancing.
Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar was one of the BEST comedy films I have seen. Shilpa looked gorgeous. I liked how her character started off so likeable but towards the end not so likeable. The 2nd half of the film was hillerious, when Salman goes to live with her, to keep an eye on her and her family, so that they don't try to abort or do something that results in the death of the unborn baby

1- I do like the scene where she stood up for herself and told jackiey " my name is Shilpa Jackiey, get that right"
2- The Punani scene will be a CBB classic I think. It was such an unexpected thing to come out of anyones mouth
3- And I really liked how she handled the situation of when the Goodys' came into the house and Jade said she didn't feel very welcomed. I liked what Shilpa said

I loved her in DHADKAN too. I really liked her chemisty with Akshay and I liked their pairing as boyfriend and girlfriend, sadly they are no longer together.
There were a few memorable scenes from this film.
1- the wedding songs, Shilpas facial gestures and the crying was aesome.
2- the wedding night scene, where she was very stand offish with him.
3- the scene when Akshays' brother called her into that room and tried it on with her and she slaps him for it,then Akshay walks in, and the following scene the next morning when he sticks up for his wife was really good too.
Actually i'm going to get this movie off my mate and watch it tonight

Oh she will. Just watched the trailer 3 times and can't seem to get enough. I do like Shiney, I saw 2 of his films, hes a very good actor.
Going by the trailer, Shilpa is unhappily married and has an affair with him. Looks set to be a good performance based film for all the characters. Shilpa looked nice with minimal make-up :thumbs:

Like the Ashleyne syndrome imo, where in this case a small group of Jackiey fans may well boo Shilpa, and I`m sure she would be as confused as much as upset.Frankly it would be an embarrassment and even worse if Jackiey stays in too. :mad:
In the long run it should work for her,especially if she can deal with it even better than Ash from BB7.

As i have posted before.. I'm not worried coz.. my theory is..
The small audience for Jacki or Jackie or Jackiely however you spell her name was I'm sure made up of entirely family, friends and crew who are under contract to cheer The Goodys and boo anything that Jacki or Jackie or Jackiely however you spell her name dislikes in a very obvious and direct way- which was lucky Shilpa! Such a set-up- a real audience she would not have survived- there would have been no interview i.e. Jacki or Jackie or Jackiely however you spell her name would not have been able to talk--GOD FORBID!!

Shilpa's missing her slap... and it's not funny.
Shilpa's had a rollercoaster past 48 hours.
She's won round the housemates with her chicken curry, while her and Jackiey's sparring would have put Rocky to shame. But it's Big Brother who's really niggled her.
"I'm very VERY upset!" she told Big Bro in the Diary Room in a Bollywood-worthy outpouring of emotion. "It's so mean that you've got me in here without my make-up! What have I done to you? Is this my only task?"

Unable to hand her a calming mascara wand, Big Brother swerved the conversation over to Jackiey, who'd hit the road earlier on.
"Just before she left she called me a nightmare. I've never been spoken to like that. I was trying to analyse what I'd done," said the actress. "I hope that she is happy, but the whole sequence of events shook me up. I feel bad I didn't say goodbye."
"How will you spend the rest of your night?" asked Big Bro.
"Sleeping," concluded Shilpa, reaching for the sunglasses on her head.
"With or without your make-up?" said Big Bro, lighting the touchpaper.

My only concern is when the boos are heard in the house when the names are called. This can create a needless sense of paranoia which is unfair and is effectively contact with the outside.

The way girls bitch has always been something strange to me, but i have an idea why they do it. Alot, if not all, women are very concerned about looking good (which isnt a bad thing imo), and if there is a particularly beautiful woman around, there is a good chance that other girls around will resort to negative comments (bitching) to bring said woman 'down a peg or two'. Its a cynical procedure, but one which i have witnessed quite alot, and the thing that confuses me about it is....if all the girls want to be attractive, they just need to concentrate on having attractive personalities. Attempting to sabotage the image of an aesthetically attractive individual (i.e. Shilpa), has absolutely no positive effects on anyone involved, and appears to be nothing more than the need for spite. Very unnattractive.
Jo and Danielle are becoming considerably unattractive as each day passes for their insecure rantings and spiteful comments, and its shocking that Danielle even needs to resort to that, being such a sexy girl. I think Jo is the central figure in the negativity, but the ones who join in are almost as much to blame for allowing it to go on.
Danielle has a very bad reputation for sleeping with Sheringham to cheat on miss GB, and she embarrassed the competition by posing nude. She is obviously a girl with no character, few morals, and is basically an unsavoury piece of work, which is becoming clearer everyday. Daddys little girl my ar8e. Little slut more like.
If this new model comes in, I can only hope she has considerable class and dignity with which to raise the image of English women again.

But it's her surrogate daughter in the House, Danielle, who's really fuming.
"Why didn't she have to go in?" sobbed Danielle, clinging on to Carole. By 'she' we take it you mean Shilpa?
"Someone they want to keep in, they don't even involve them," moaned Carole.

But Shilpa wasn't going to take this accusation lying down.
"I was not part of it," she said, confronting Carole in the bedroom. "In the conversation you said 'vote me'. I said 'even if I get out'. I didn't say 'vote me'. That's a rule break."
"That's an interpretation," said Carole dismissively.
"No it's not," argued Shilpa.
"Yeah. OK. I think it is," replied Carole, walking away. "But that's OK. I'm fine. I'm ready to go. Right now."
Unbeknown to Carole, Big Brother had already given Shilpa a warning for her part in the chat. But the columnist wasn't ready to hear it.
"We were all part of the conversation. But they want to keep you in, Shilpa."
"It's not like that Carole. That wasn't it," replied Shilpa. But her pleas fell on deaf ears.
"Why do you have go?" Danielle blubbed to Carole as Shilpa walked away. "She's vile. Why didn't she go in there?"
Looks like the honeymoon's finally over.

Shilpa triumphs over main adversary
The actress escapes eviction and manages to be free of her arch-headache, Jacky
Today was the day for the first eviction at the Big Brother's house. There was a lot of tension among the nominees and the other housemates who were waiting anxiously to know who would part with them.
Shilpa was quite confident that she will be the one to be evicted tonight. And she was happy too that she will be gone from Big brother's 'house of horrors.' Unfortunately for her, that did not happen.
There was a lot of speculation in the Indian and UK press and media that Shilpa would be the one on her way out. But Shilpa has proved all her detractors wrong.
The day she was nominated, I had predicted that she might not be evicted and I was right. Shilpa is now beginning to win the hearts of the UK audience. Well, there is no gain without pain. My prediction is that she is here to stay for at least two more weeks.
As I had mentioned in my diary last Friday, when Shilpa's name was nominated in the eviction list, I was very tense. I thought to myself that she cannot be out of the show so early. We have worked so hard to be here. I went into flashback mode, when I had first approached Shilpa to be a part of Big Brother. The entire journey from Bombay to London till she entered the house, I thought of every minute we spent thinking of how she would portray herself on the show.
After she entered the house, I was glued to the television and remember seeing her live on Channel 4, sometimes saw her sleep at nights. She looked totally zapped and spaced out when eight celebrities were shifted. She did not know what was happening when Jade and her family were planted in the house. Jacky's job was to irritate the housemates and mess with their heads, a job at which Jacky was quite successful. Jacky's target was our Indian beauty. Jacky totally messed with Shilpa by calling her different names. Shilpa and Jacky continued fighting. The last fight was over the shopping list. Jacky said, "Shilpa, you ask everyone what they want except me. All I wanted was lemon juice." Shilpa replied, "We're taking care of the basic requirements first." Hearing this, Jacky walked off in a foul mood.
It was dinner time and Jacky was called to the Big Brother's diary room and informed that she was chosen as the first housemate to be evicted.Well done Jacky, but you could not mess with Shilpa though. When Jacky was leaving, Jade was crying a lot and so was Shilpa.
Now all the housemates are lounging in the garden and a few in the hot tub. Dirk said that any woman he had a crush on isn't allowed to wear a bikini. Shilpa ran off into the house.
Back to the hot tub. As Shilpa still remains in the house, the hottest and sexiest of the housemates, Ms Britain Danielle Lloyd now has tough competition. Read the story tomorrow of how the UK media has pitted them against each other.
As of now, Shilpa reigns at the Big Brother's house. She seems to be the happiest as she has survived stiff competition. Let me remind you, she is in a show which is only watched by a foreign audience. Sticking around for a week was a huge task for her that she has overcome.

Correct me if I am wrong, but guys didn't Jack call Shilpa P*ki? If thats the case that is absolutley out of order. Leona, we need to go back to our complaint e-mails and I suggest the rest of you Shilpa fans do the same. I don't see why Shilpa has to be called these names and put up with it, even if it is behind her back and unknown to her and I don't see why asian supporters of Shilpa have to put up with it
Shilpa showed great dignity in the Diary Room explaining her situation with Jackiey,even wishing her the best and making some compliments. Meanwhile Jackiey storms into the Davina interview with the sole intention of immediately laying into shilpa.We have all seen this before on BB and know that it doesn`t wash with the Britsh public as a whole.
I feel that to win, she will need to be up against the younger HMs for votes and not the older ones, and thats the problem ,Jade`s mostly younger group is solid as a rock because all the Britsh Hm`s seem to idolise her, in a BB context.

It was only a random group of girls by the sounds of it. Every HM is going to have haters, some more strongly than others. But that group of people in the crowd hardly represent the nation's views do they? Otherwise Shilpa would've been voted out, and she wouldn't have had a solid fan base either. The housemates attempt to pay tribute...
This morning all the housemates have been given the task of forming tribute bands to honour two of their musical housemates: Steps and The Jackson Five.
They must perform a song with an accompanying dance routine later today, and only one of them will emerge as the winner.
Story continues below
Ian will be the leader of the four-piece Steps band while Jermaine will lead the Jackson Five group. They were asked to pick their bandmates and Ian chose Jade, Jo and Jack for his Steps tribute band. They must perform 'Deeper Shade of Blue'.
The members of Jermaine's Jackson Five band are Dirk, Cleo, Danielle and Shilpa. Together they must perform 'I Want U Back'.
The housemates can listen to the full version of their songs once before preparing their routines. They can rehearse along to a backing track just three times and their routine must be a "reasonable rendition" of the original.
The leader of each band must ensure they capture the look, sound and feel of their bands and motivate their members to give "the performance of their lives".
The winning band will be decided later today and will receive a reward... but who will have the moves to get the vote?
