I clocked as soon as she smelt it the second time. It was a nice touch but I'm always wary of scenes like that because it steps away from the realist nature of the show.

if it's done properly (like tonight) it doesn't bother me, since it's a one off

Everyone on DS was posting "Ah, she smells smoke, the classic signs of a brain tumour" :joker:

I agree. And it can be attributed to Peggy hallucinating and her brain playing tricks, as we saw with the last scene with Sharon. It didn't have to be a literal ghost of Pat. Lol.

Those scenes between Pat and Peggy will go down in history but i dont know what hurts more? The fact Peggy is dead or the facr i miss Pat so much.

Ashley.

I'm over Peggy

It felt rushed though

Why did Whitney get a final scene with her when someone like Kathy could've walked in the bathroom instead

Isn't Whitney supposed to be the new Pat

My thoughts exactly. It was a brilliant episode in other parts but that bit pissed me off.

The whole Pat/smell of smoke thing was a stroke of genius and it was great having the legend that is Grant back. Even if Kemp's acting has gotten as wooden as a tree.

Marsh.

Grant's best scene was with Sharon. She almost peed herself. :joker:

but can we just @ the Sharon and Peggy scene

I knew Phelps wouldn't let me down :clap1:

Sorted that mess out where she hated her last year despite getting over all that 10 years ago. :clap1:

That was just amazing.

I'm SO happy they brought Pat back and the "You bitch, you cow" line omg

IT was underwhelming tbh. The last scene should have been Peggy lying on the bed before closing her and then the Julia's theme starts to play. Loved seeing Pat back

Disagree, death bed wasn't needed.

That would have been so predictable though, pretty much Pat's exit.

I was here for Sam appearing by her deathbed last minute to spite Luke :fan:

She died the way she wanted to - I think the fact she hid some pills meant she knew she was probably going to be doing it that way anyway.

I didn't like the glow effects they had though when she was walking through the square. I expected her to start using magic like in those bingo ads.

Marsh.
17-05-2016, 09:46 PM
Actually, the way she was approaching the Vic and smelt smoke, I half expected her to enter the Vic and it be some weird alternate reality of the past with Kathy and Pat having a drink or something. :joker:
